How do you guys explain the play clock running after Kap ran out of bounds? I've seen this happen at least 10 times this season where the player has ran out of bounds on his own accord and yet the play clock is still running the entire time. At first I thought there was some sort of rule change that I missed out on.

"With the exception of the last two minutes of the first half and the last five minutes of the second half, the game clock will be restarted following a kickoff return, a player going out of bounds on a play from scrimmage, or after declined penalties when appropriate on the referee’s signal."

This is all BS that is not enforced. Ever see the clock keep going after a kickoff? Ever see the clock stop on an out of bounds play outside of the 2 and 5minute blocks?

"When, in the judgment of the Referee, the level of crowd noise prevents the offense from hearing its signals, he can institute a series of procedures which can result in a loss of team time outs or a five-yard penalty against the defensive team."

This one made me laugh.

That made me laugh as well, I'd love to be the dick ref to do that to Seattle on a third and one.

The league has made an effort to enforce the running out of bounds in the last handful of years, I don't think I've ever seen one after a kickoff though. I think the idea was they wanted to have their games stay around 3 hours but still maximize ad time and keeping the clock running for running out of bounds does that.

I wonder if the person that edited this film is the same guy that got in the presser about 9-11 conspiracy.

-The first one was close, from the naked eye I thought Whitner hit the receiver in the head. That is a play that gets called everytime.

-2nd one...Dixon was short

-3rd- LOL. If that is a hold, they are going to call hold on every play. If you keep your hands inside, you can grab all day, Okung let go when his hands would be outside.

-4 Rogers clearly pushed him late, but a ticky tack call indeed. Made no difference in the game.

-5 Not a block in back

-6 Questionable. Video does give a good view of what happened.

-7 Probably bad call

-8 THis guys waste his time not knowing what forward progress is, but I do think Lynch was a little bit short.

-9 THey likely reset the play clock do to a player being slow to get off the field or something. Clearly at least 40 seconds ran off between plays

-10 No whistle. JUst crying. Also Seattle was losing, why would the clock running help them?

-11 THe clock should still keep running like it was

-12 Terrible call. SF then makes play and gets ball back in better position.

If the game was rigged, why didn't the refs call clear pass interference on Crabtree in the end zone on the last play of the game?

Why would the NFL want Seattle in the SB, a team no one gives a **** about outside of the Pacific Northwest?

I've actually been at a game where the officials penalized the home team bc of the crowd. Boomer Esiason kept crying that the Saints crowd was too loud.

Yeah, I don't get why the NFL would care about the Seahawks. Though they did after trying to help the Saints get to the NFCCG, help the Niners. That Niners/Panthers game was atrocious in the non-called penalties against the Niners vs the called on the Panthers. Of course I don't think a Niners fan would take weeks watching a game over and over again on NFL Rewind to prove that the Panthers got robbed.

THe things people have to realize is that refs **** up. It's the nature of the beast. They're humans making fast judgements. They don't have the luxury of pouring over instant replays from several angles on every play. If they did I'm sure they would get less plays called and an NFL game would be like a Cricket game that lasts several days with several tea breaks (don't know if the tea breaks happen in cricket but I feel like they should)

This IS the point and one I've harped on for years and is a symptom of what's wrong with this country. MY side is right period, when they say or do something stupid it isn't their fault, it's the other side who's wrong for pointing it out, when my team gets a buttload of horrible "are you effing kidding me" calls my team deserved those calls (in other words the refs got those calls right) or at best those calls didn't affect the outcome of the game. But when my either doesn't get a call or gets a couple of bad/questionable ones, then it's a conspiracy and "they're all out to get us".

As I've said many times, if you don't complain just as loudly when your opponent gets a bad call as you do when you teams gets a bad call, then nobody's gonna care when you complain, and quite frankly they shouldn't care. If you aren't consistently vocal in protesting "wrong" and are just conscious of "wrong" when it affects you or your team then you don't give a damn about "right" you only care about winning.

Green Bay never got called on that defensive holding penalty that would have been a Crabtree TD as well as that obvious hold on the Aaron Rodgers scramble that ended up converting a 4th down that led to a TD.

I thought the calls were bad in the Panthers game but for me it was just a makeup for the previous week.

Either way the point is that the games shouldn't come down to the refs and all too often they do.

The NFL wants the games that generate the most ratings and have the best match up. #1 offense against #1 defense is what they wanted this season. Again there is way too much at stake as far as a financial gain to let the games play out as they should. Is the NFL rigged? Can't say for sure, but if you honestly think that there isn't some sort of foul play going on then you are mistaken.

SF or GB would be far more beneficial for the NFL than Seattle.

Negative. Vegas cleaned up with the Seahawks SB win and you know the NFL will get it's cut. If it was San Francisco against Denver more bets would have been on San Fran as opposed to what was laid on Seattle. This was the most profitable for Vegas and the NFL.

Peyton is WAY more of a Public bet than SF is. Vegas won because of public bets, all the sharp money was on Seattle

Wait, so now you claim the NFL profitted bc they wanted Seattle to play Denver and they forecasted that more people would bet on Denver

AND

That Vegas would give the NFL a cut of the profits?

Before you are labeled as a tin foil man, is this what you are saying?

I wont go as far to say the NFL is rigged per say.

But to act like the refs dont have say in who wins some games in false.

Once Denver won, Goodell probably told the refs to call everything Seattle's way and let them win.

Yup, that's EXACTLY what happened

And then Goodell was probably all like.....Peyton, bro!....in the SuperBowl, you should totall suck....ya know, cause **** Denver AMIRITE?
