REAL FOOTBALL Thread

For real?

This conversation is about how blocking for a running QB in passing situations is harder. Not about how horrible of a passing QB Vick is or anything else. You and gilesfan are making up other arguments.

Vick was difficult to block for because he was a never a good QB. It was always a higher percentage play to get outside the tackles. Thats not the same for these guys. Vick was ALWAYS looking to run.

Vick looked to run more than Kaepernick, but it's not some kind of astronomical total. Both have the same basic strategy, hard look primary quick checkdown lucky to make it to number 3, then run. Difference between Kaepernick and Vick primarily? Kaepernick has a way better OL, way better weapons too. I'm comparing the 2 in a style comparison.

Somebody has to catch passes.

Wouldn't it make sense that if he was the only weapon it would be harder to be productive since the defense can roll their coverages to his side and double him? You really aren't making very good arguments. I really hope you aren't suggesting he didn't have a very good year, it probably was his best year as a pro. His career certainly didn't come here and die. He also does a very good job blocking in the running game.

I've never interviewed any of them. You don't talk about baseball? What bothers you, etc. ?

The last thing professionals want to talk about with friends in their spare time is their job. I don't talk to them about specifics of my job either. Maybe that's just my experience.

In my experience people will talk about most anything. And people who're consumed in their job like professional athletes often think so much about their job they continue to talk about it regardless. When I hung out with my sales buddies we often talked about work in a variety of ways. For starters when that's how you met someone that's a common connection that's easy to talk about.

Maybe you don't talk about things like that but common experiences are typically something that most people talk about.

Sure.

Well, that can happen. See Douglas, Harry. Genuine not great WR, that because of Roddy and Julio being down for so long, and Ryan being so awesome, wound up top 20 in the NFL in yards.

SO Garcon was a bust FA signing bc he put up numbers with no one else around him to throw the ball to. Makes sense for some people I guess.

Yeah people that hate the team you pull for and go out of their way to criticize you no matter what you do.

DeSean was scheduled to to make $21M over next two years on now-terminated Eagles contract. Instead, will make $16M with Redskins.

Redskins are going to take that contract back

Don't see how anyone would want a gang banger POS on their team
