Geez, the reports are now coming through on Bowman. I'd just rest him and have him come back 100% for next year.
Then there is this on Borland:
Among linebackers with at least 25 percent of total snaps, Borland leads the NFL in run stop percentage, is 5th in tackling efficiency and is No. 24 of 51 in pass rush productivity.
What's he supposed to say? He can't bench him just yet. He can't shake his confidence further.
I didn't realize he was historically bad that night was what I was posting about. A 2 Qb rating? That's hard to do
Bowman will not play this season. This is the latest report and it's probably 100 percent true.
Can't remember any team suffering this many injuries over the course of a season.
2 lbs? I can't think of anyone else?
Niners have 11 guys on PUP or IR. 4 starters (Willis, Bowman, Dorsey, and Kilgore) and 2 rotational players (Cook and Hunter) Falcons have 10 guys on PUP or IR, including 4 starters (Baker, Hawley, Witherspoon, and Moore) and all their OL depth (Johnson, Holmes, and Konz) it's a cointoss between those 2, Niners have lost better players, Falcons have lost more players at 1 area of the team which JMO is almost always more devastating.
Losing all-pro players is almost always more devasting.
Almost always yes, Bowman is a huge loss, Willis is old and has to consider the risk of an old player getting hurt.
Bowman is a bigger loss for sure. Sucks losing Willis that's for sure, but Bowman is worse for sure.
And the Falcons had the same issue when they lost Spoon and Moore, their best defensive players aside from Trufant and the leaders of the defense.
Falcons are missing some key guys sure but SF is missing stars.
Willis i think missed 5 games prior to this year, he's been very durable.
I wonder with the emergence of Borland they consider trading him for cap relief.
Jimmie Ward and Verrett placed on IR.
