I saw Seattle bat the ball in the end zone and I wondered about that.

Meh. There was no one else around the ball. That rule is there to keep teams from preventing the other team from recovering it. The Lions wouldn't have gotten the ball back anyway, and the ball was likely heading OB regardless.

Just saying... it's a clear foul. Even Blandino is saying they messed up.

Of course that doesn't matter
 
And no repercussions for the blown call that subsequently lost the Lions a game. No accountability at all in this league.
 
Tough to really empathize with Lions when we are talking about a technicality.

Excuse me if I'm wrong, but aren't offensive players allowed to bat the ball out of bounds on the sideline? I honestly don't see a difference here.

yes, it's a dumb rule that doesn't really make any sense.
