REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Matt Ryan has to step his game up. He simply isn't playing well enough right now. Some of it isn't all on him, but some is. Wheres the form from the first few weeks? Falcons are showing some true colors now.

Again, the Falcons have been at their best when running the football. Problem is the line is awful right now. But Freeman/Coleman need to be getting the ball a lot more. Matt Ryan isn't the guy to throw 45-50 times and beat you on a regular basis. There has to be more balance.

What can't be defended is the lack of real clock management. Different coach, but second year in a row we've been taken out of a game by a coach not knowing how to use timeouts and the clock. If we can't beat Tampa Bay and San Francisco (with the abortion of a situation they've had), I don't think we can win another game. It's sailing south in a hurry.

I am getting close to the point where I will have to stop supporting and watching the Saints if they dont start putting an 11th man on defense. Its ****ing bull**** to play 10 vs 11 then wonder why you lose. Definition of insanity and all.

Matt Ryan has certainly been disappointing

He isn't alone either. Luck\Ryan\Stafford\Manning have all had relative down years. If I had said that before the season how much stock would anyone of put in it? Likely none.

Agreed... this year some surprising guys are emerging.

Brady obviously... but Palmer is a stud all the sudden. And Derek Carr is looking like the best QB from last year's class

I was just about to mention Carr. Give him some weapons, and a little time and the kid is looking like an all world option in his second year.

It shouldn't be that surprising. There is usually an adjustment period in a new offensive system. The one Ryan is in now is very different from the one he had with Dirk Koetter. A lot less no huddle, new blocking system, more short passing routes, boot legs, etc.

He has Crabs and Cooper. That's better weapons than most QBs start with. Murray isn't a terrible RB either.

Oh no, Murray isn't bad at all. He has a well rounded game. Just needs to stay healthy. Crabs has come on lately. I just about figured he was done.

He does have Cooper. And the guy with the best hands in the history of the NFL.

If you watched the Fox pregame show, you probably saw this. Pretty good summary of the NFC East
