REAL FOOTBALL Thread

In fairness to Cam, I've seen many QB's not directly dive into a pile to get a loose ball even Peyton.

But this is the superbowl, and like Peyton did on one of his fumbles earlier, you just HAVE to get that ball back.

You were supposed to stop posting itt after the joke.

I think it's possible they win the game if they retain the football... and I think he was in the best position on the field to get the football... just an unbelievably bitch move to not go after it in the biggest game of his career

It's possible they could have won the game, but man Denver's defense was just relentless.

Cam was looking like Culpepper out there holding the ball too long in the pocket.

Big Ben, Tom Brady and Cam Newton combined for 1 TD pass, 3 INT and 13 sacks against the Denver defense in the playoffs.

They've interviewed everyone BUT Wade Phillips, who was the architect for this defense. Belichick shook his hand two weeks ago and said "you called a helluva game". This was arguably just as good.

I ignored the Helen Mirren commercial and am currently in my car out buying a friggin 90 pack of budweiser.

The same people who said "It doesnt matter how great a QB is it only matters how many rings they have" are going to be the ones saying "Peyton only won that last one because of the defense".

False. As I would not say that first one and would say that last one. Peyton sucked and Cam struggled mightly. I wouldn't go as far as to say he sucked, because he wasn't given any time at all, but he wasn't good.

It was pretty clear that the moment got to Cam. I was surprised, but it wasn't just the Denver defense that got to Cam. He missed easy throws early. With that in mind this has clearly been Cam's biggest weakness since he entered the NFL. His emotions get the best of him. Things weren't going his way and he got grumpy. He's a very emotional person. It's not over for Cam and he's done a great job of overcoming this weakness since he was drafted. But he's not there yet. He shouldn't give up.

You might not have held against him, but that's been the narrative for a long time now. Peyton only had one ring and it came against Rex Grossman. Who freaking cares?
