REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Mike Daniels is a MONSTER in Green Bay. I watched the first quarter in passing, and he was havoc on the Minny O line.

I expected Oakland to run away with it. Good game by the Falcons.

Same here.

Still plenty of issues with Atlanta, but I think the offense has a chance to be top five if Julio can stay healthy. This is easily the most talent Ryan's ever been surrounded with on offense.

The defense may be worse than ever, however.

We couldn't buy a sack if they sold them at Home Depot right now. It is laughable.

I watched some of the Falcons yesterday. Still think Coleman is the better back as I said a year ago, but Freeman is good too. I didn't notice any snaps where they were both on the field at the same time. I think that is something that could be a matchup nightmare for defenses to try and contend with.

Want to talk about talent surrounding the QB? The Skins are absolutely loaded at receivers and established a strong running game and Cousins had the worst game from an accuracy point as I have ever seen a QB have. There are so many weapons on offense...DJAX, Garcon, Crowder, Doctson, Reed, Davis, Paul.....we had guys running free all day long. Doctson has about a 80 yard TD if Cousins makes a good throw. Crowder has an easy TD that Cousins overthrew. DeSean was 3 steps past the defender on a really long route and Cousins overthrew him. Another play he had a step on the corner and Cousins threw back shoulder for some reason. Cousins then threw a pick in the end zone up 3 in the 4Q. Just dumb. He threw for 364 yards and it easily could have been 450+ if he had an ounce of accuracy in him.

The decision to franchise him instead of signing long term appears to be a smart move based just on 2 games. But, he has time to make up for it assuming he's not benched in a couple weeks. We have a really good QB friendly system and he's ****ting the bed and wasting a ton of talent on offense.

Dak is not going to make it an easy decision if he keeps going like this when Romo is ready to return. Real pleased with Prescott to say the least.

Assuming Romo is healthy, he's far better at this point. Dak played well, but they were able to provide some short throws and move him around a bit. Will be interesting to see how a better defense plays him....or if they play him like the Giants figured out and just flooded the short zones. We don't have the front 7 to be able to do that while stopping the run so we chose to stop the run.

If the Falcons run the ball effectively, they can have a chance in any game. Still, I saw way too many sooooo Falcons things in that game. Penalty after penalty after stupid freaking penalty. How many times did we extend drives for Oakland with stupid BS?

I can't watch a Falcons game without hating myself for being a Falcons fan for this exact reason. It doesn't matter who is coaching the team (and they have had some great coaches come through here the past two decades), they have this uncanny ability to turn a good thing sour.

Sample size is a huge massive undeniable issue. But sofar Ryan has been the best QB in the NFL. Of course that can change frighteningly fast next game.

But so far his stats are insane. 72.6 comp% 5 TDs 1INT 10.0 Y/A and 9.23 NY/A 1st in DVOA, 2nd in DYAR and 2nd in TotalQBR.
