Feel good for mayfield. Browns have to be killing themselves.

Just when you think the Browns couldn't go anymore Browns... they did it... and now it's hilarious how bad Watson has been since back... Even grandpa Flacco has come out of the AARP office to put up good numbers with the plus talent around him. And now Watson has them screwed for even longer.

First Dak throws it away... now Purdy has... I did forget about Allen... he will likely get some consideration.

Lamar is probably number 1 right now. He's put the Niners into the mixer. Compare Dak's performance to Lamar's vs. the Niners

Dak 14/24 154 yards, 1 TD 3 INT

Probably the best performance so far is Burrow's

28/32 283 yards 3 TDs

Lamar is sitting at 23/34 252 2 TDs If Lamar does well on his last drive he could have the best night vs. the Niners of any QB on the year.

Tua has snuck into this discussion as well. He leads the league in traditional stats like yards and completion % now. Dolphins beat the Ravens this week and he likely becomes the betting favorite. I think Purdy has firmly taken himself out of discussion now. I would think writers would C-Mac over Purdy at this point.

Allen's best chance at MVP is to play very well while also winning out and hoping the Dolphins lose this week. That would give the Bills the AFC East crown with Allen having far and away better stats than the next closest guy.

I think SF fans saw last night what Cowboys' fans have seen off and on during the season, or at least during their losing skids. Purdy is a really good QB, so is Dak, and so is Josh Allen, and Hurts, but none of those guys are very good when they spend a lot of the game horizontal instead of vertical. Purdy looked really really bad last night because he had way too much company back there in the pocket. Lamar looked like an MVP last night but he had a lot of help from his O-line and his natural ability to scramble. Plus Z-Flowers is a stud in the making. I know the Cowboys really liked him but not enough to trade up to get him. Baltimore had another gem fall right into their laps last April.

IMO the Niner's biggest problem last night was that their normally really good coaching staff got one-upped by Harbaugh and his coaches. SF looked last night the way Dallas has looked several times when the other side's coaching staff does a better job of game-planning and during-the-game adjustments than Shanahan and company. thethe, how bad are your guys' injuries? I heard your O-line lost some guys for longer than just a game but I haven't had time to really check that out.

SF showed some definite cracks in their armor last night. Dallas has been Jekyll and Hyde all year, Philly is still vulnerable, as shown by barely getting past the vaGiants. Personally, Philly is still really good, but they can be had, Dallas' biggest strength right now IMO is that they have shown they can regroup after getting their asses kicked, which is pretty rare in the NFL. McCarthy is IMO by far the best head coach Dallas has had since JJ left, but he's still no better than a B to B+ head coach. I like Dan Quinn better but even he has been exposed of late. I think all 3 of those teams are fairly close, talent-wise, but it depends on the injuries and the coaching staff. Personally I would give SF the edge right now, coaching staff-wise, but all things considered, it's looking like a photo finish in the NFC.

I agree but I don't think he needs to win the division. I think if Buffalo wins out he'll close the season out going 5-0 with wins vs. Dallas and at KC and Miami.

Tua I think is hurt by Tyreek, similar to issues Purdy would have had with McCaffrey. If they played someone better than the Jets last week, who knows if they win.

This is a really muddy MVP race. Dak and Purdy seemed to take the lead into a 2 horse race then fumbled the bag.

I mean Lamar is clearly the favorite now. Baltimore is the best team in the NFL and he's dominating. But he could fumble the bag late in the season.

SF is the best NFC team by some measure. Injuries could do them in of course. THey can do anyone in. AFC is certainly stronger than the NFC. I think you can see Baltimore, Miami or Buffalo winning the conference. Chiefs being the getting hot dark horse, and Cleveland if Flacco gets hot will be a threat, their defense is the best in the NFL, they'd be more of a threat if Chubb didn't blow his knee out.

NFC I only realistically see 4 competitive teams, Philly, Dallas, San Fran, and Detroit. All have massive question marks. The other current playoff teams Bucs, Rams, and Seahawks, coudl play spoiler but don't really seem poised for a long run. Rams being the team I'd fear the most of that group as they're getting hot.
