I think SF fans saw last night what Cowboys' fans have seen off and on during the season, or at least during their losing skids. Purdy is a really good QB, so is Dak, and so is Josh Allen, and Hurts, but none of those guys are very good when they spend a lot of the game horizontal instead of vertical. Purdy looked really really bad last night because he had way too much company back there in the pocket. Lamar looked like an MVP last night but he had a lot of help from his O-line and his natural ability to scramble. Plus Z-Flowers is a stud in the making. I know the Cowboys really liked him but not enough to trade up to get him. Baltimore had another gem fall right into their laps last April.
IMO the Niner's biggest problem last night was that their normally really good coaching staff got one-upped by Harbaugh and his coaches. SF looked last night the way Dallas has looked several times when the other side's coaching staff does a better job of game-planning and during-the-game adjustments than Shanahan and company. thethe, how bad are your guys' injuries? I heard your O-line lost some guys for longer than just a game but I haven't had time to really check that out.
SF showed some definite cracks in their armor last night. Dallas has been Jekyll and Hyde all year, Philly is still vulnerable, as shown by barely getting past the vaGiants. Personally, Philly is still really good, but they can be had, Dallas' biggest strength right now IMO is that they have shown they can regroup after getting their asses kicked, which is pretty rare in the NFL. McCarthy is IMO by far the best head coach Dallas has had since JJ left, but he's still no better than a B to B+ head coach. I like Dan Quinn better but even he has been exposed of late. I think all 3 of those teams are fairly close, talent-wise, but it depends on the injuries and the coaching staff. Personally I would give SF the edge right now, coaching staff-wise, but all things considered, it's looking like a photo finish in the NFC.
