The Falcons are the worst run franchise in football. They legitimately hired Raheem Morris, a guy with one of the worst HC records of anyone alive (minimum 50 games) because their front office was afraid of losing power.

Blank was high on Belichick but BB would likely try to take over the front office. As a result, Fontenot and co pushed Morris super hard as Morris wouldn't demand full organizational control. An elderly Blank went along and hired a proven loser as HC.

Now the Falcons will likely stick with Morris in spite of the fact that his coaching decisions were objectively terrible.

The falcons aren't close to the worst run franchises in the NFL. Dont' be obtuse.

Jets, Browns, and Panthers are in the league.

Don't get me wrong, the hiring of Morris was almost certainly a mistake. his coaching cost us at least a game. If not 2 or 3.

Can’t shake that they went with Morris to appeal to the demographics of Atlanta tbh.
 
Looks like folks might have been a bit premature on labeling Bryce Young a bust. 15 total TDs over his last 6 games to end the season, including the 5 TD performance yesterday. 20 total TDs over his last 10 games compared to 6 Ints and 2 Fumbles lost.

Not saying the kid is a star yet, but that is some major improvement given how he started the season.
 
I don't see how the Falcons can justify giving Morris another year. He's not a first time head coach figuring out the job. This is his third stint as a HC if you count his year as interim.

Everyone was making excuses for his awful HC record when he was hired and it turns out the excuses weren't valid, he's just that bad.

The Falcons should absolutely clean house. TF should go as should the entire coaching staff. Start fresh.

They won't do anything because they're a terribly run franchise though.
 
Yeah Morris is bad. And the decisions made by the Falcons FO last off-season were pretty bizarre. Blank would be better off cleaning house.

I want to go a step farther, Rich McKay needs to be forced into early retirement. I don't get why Blank made him president after he failed as a GM. To me it reminds me of when the Johns were running the Braves ass backwards for years, then AA came in and got things going the right way. McKay has clearly let the game go way past him.

Also honestly why the **** do we keep hiring in division castoffs? Fire TF go hire an assistant GM from Philly or Detroit.

If you light 100M on fire you should be fired. There's no excuse. WE were sold on Morris and COusins getting us to the playoffs, that failed and we're likely to have a 50 million dollar bakcup QB unless someone trades for him.

The fact nothing has been announced now means we're stuck here. So 8 or 9 wins next year. Yee hah!

AP All Pro Teams released, looks like Lamar is the new favorite for MVP as Allen was 2nd team AP.

Last time a non-RB won the MVP and wasn't AP 1 was when McNair was Co-MVP with Peyton.

Since I don't think Saquan will win I think Lamar is certainly the most probable, unless the voting with Allen was super tight.
 
Lamar is so ****ing good. The steelers have a good defense and he made multiple huge conversions on that drive with his legs and his arm.
