REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Yeah and that's why that list is bunk. Also shows how important QB play is since the Falcons will likely be at least a .500 record.

Seriously though, by most standards and reports, Willy Mo is considered one of the best safeties in the NFL, and he's average according to their system.

We will see if they are 500. Your division is brutal IMO and hte NFC in general is tough. You have a great QB and a great WR and another really good one. I just don't really see much proven talent otherwise on your roster.

FWIW, OTC (Over the Cap) has Kap's deal with a 17 mil cap hit next season, they're usually right on par with contracts, the best site to use.

I completely disagree.

I think it was a huge factor.

Miami had 4 or 5 days of rest, and plenty of ways to stay hydrated.

Both teams had to play in the same gym.

This is how they played in the 80's when real basketball was played.

I get that.
Conditions will effect everyone different. There's no one on the court who works as hard on both sides as LeBron. I also think his build contributed to it.
Either way, it affected him worse than it did anyone else. It has nothing to do with him not being in shape, or not being hydrated.

I dont really disagree, cramps are a bitch.

He said he could barely move, his legs/feet were locked.

While i think the AC will be fixed, i wonder how low they'll have it on Sunday, gotta do what you gotta do to win.

Exactly. The market is what the market is and those that follow the game for a living have said this is a team friendly below market deal. I don't know why any 49er WOULDN'T be happy about this deal. You can believe it if you want but Kaep had a bad foot injury last year that prevented his mobility for the majority of the season. There is a reason why all of a sudden he was able to run like crazy in the playoffs.

Now his weapons are among the best in the league so if he doesn't start putting together more gaudy numbers then I would agree with you. Last year though the offensive arsenal around him wasn't all that impressive when you actually break it down. This year is a different story.

Even if the injury report is true (not sure I buy it) that's even more of a reason not to pay him premium bucks. Running QB's get hurt more often and often times more severely than pocket QB's.

Again, I know they had to dish it out given their current state of win now. You can't start over with a new QB when your team is in win now mode. But I think it will be a mistake in the end.

Better watch out, if you tell truths about running QBs, gilesfan will come in and say you're lying. Now that the Skins have a running QB they're the best thing since sliced bread.

Every QB gets injuries and Kaep has not missed a game thus far in his career and didn't in his college career. The guy is built different than the traditional running QB's and plays smarter. If you've watched Kaep play on a consistent basis you would notice that he never tries to get the extra yard if its unnecessary. While they will be susceptible to more hits outside of the pocket these guys are able to avoid more hits in the pocket. We will see how it plays out.

Kaep is an absolute nightmare for opposing defenses.

I don't give a **** about running QBs, they have to be able to throw. Kap isn't one of the top one.

What makes RG3 so good is that he can throw well

But the hits outside the pocket tend to be more severe. And again, he's started for less than 2 seasons. Let's not act like he's Brett Favre out there.
