Wait, so are guys who get popped for domestic violence this year going to get more games than Rice, just because Goodell realized how ****ing lightweight and stupid only suspending Rice for a couple games was? Lols.

Yep, auto 6 games, then next offense kicked out of the league.

Supposedly, we'll see if he does it.

I suppose there's some kind of league rule/player's union thing that he can't go back and give Rice a correct suspension. But that's what should be done here.

McDonald is done. Harbaugh said everything is excusable except putting your hands on a woman. If Harbaugh is true to his word, McDonald will never play for the 49ers again.

So that's 4 starters missing from defense already. More than likely for half the season too.

49ers holdout G Alex Boone is expected to report to San Francisco in next 24 hours with a reworked 2-year contract, per league sources.

Wonder how much he got.

Only a bump to 6 mil over 2 years, but.

Key part of revised 2-year deal for #49ers OL Alex Boone is that he can't be franchised or at the end of the deal. Absolute free agent.

Damn it, McDonald... Niners players need to stop acting like trash. It is inexcusable. I am getting fed up with this.

At least Boone will be back now. That really helps the line out.

With all these starters missing time, I am getting worried about the defense. You take away four starters from any defense and it's gonna be bad. 49ers are no different.

10th arrest for a Niners player in the last 32 months. What a team full of ****heads. Reports are out that Vernon Davis was present as well when Mcdonald beat a pregnant woman.

Alex Smith signs 4 year deal.

I guess he ended up to be better than everyone thought!

I think he's as good as he is. Andy Reid is a genius with QBs. Though I think in a few years he may have turned Aaron Murray into a quality NFL QB and smith will be gone.

I hope you get paid to say dumb things. Otherwise may god have mercy on your soul.

Dickbags attract dickbags. Harbaugh cares about winning, he's willing to put character questions to bed in the name of winning. That's what college coaches do.

McDonald has been on the team since 2007. Hardly Harbaugh's fault. He's a coach, not a psychologist.

This is the kind of thing that happens when you take a bunch of brothas from the hood and place them in the national spotlight. It's hardly surprising.

Yet you don't see this happening with say the Falcons. Falcons had 5 players arrested in last 3 years. White for missing court for a traffic citation, Moore for battery, Snelling for pot possession.John Abraham with the weirdest citation I've ever seen, and Turner the one who was seriously charged with a DUI. Aldon Smith alone almost equals that. Some organizations value discipline more than others. Look at the Giants, 4 arrests in last 4 years. All these teams are filled with "brothas from the hood" who're placed in the national spotlight. One would argue that how a coach handles a player, especially a star, Would effect the team behavior. Let's take Smith's DUI. He was on the practice field days later and played in the following game because Harbaugh only cares about winning, not making sure their players stay on track. ANd before you point to geography and say Bay Area cops are bigger dicks or anything like that, the Raiders had 3 arrests in the same time frame (2 of them in other areas too)

And the Niners had years of clean behavior as well. Statistically you're going to have some years where nothing happens and others where multiple problems occur. It's just as much an anomaly as BJ Upton getting 3 hits in a game.

I hate to agree with Zito and GF on this but something is fundamentally wrong with how the 49ers are scouting players. Either they don't know how to judge character or it doesn't matter much to them at all. It's an issue and it's embarrassing a proud franchise. What's happening now is a disgrace.
