There is also the distinct possibility that the NFL pressured some team to sign him to avoid the media back lash for not drafting the first openly gay player. It isn't like he's some top end talent. If we never heard Michael Sam is gay, what are the odds he's not even drafted?[/QUOTE]

I guess I'll answer that question with another question... When was the last time the SEC DPOY wasn't drafted?

When is the last time the DPOY couldn't even make an NFL roster out of preseason? Good college players get undrafted all the time.

Maxwell not looking good so far today. Maybe the Seachickens will miss Browner all year.

They dont shadow.

You can just put your worst WR on Sherman's side, motion your best to the left and get better matchups.

Which is why i'm not sure they gave Sherman that big of a deal if he just stays on one side and doesnt shadow like PP, Revis, Haden, etc.

GB is just outmatched talent wise, that simple.

Once Buluga went out, it changed the game, their backup RT stinks.

Figured Seattle would win, its near impossible to win in Seattle.

I thought they looked beatable. GB's O and D line are both terrible. Especially once Bulaga went out, that backup RT was awful. The line got pushed back on nearly every run whether they were on offense or defense.

Excellent game planning by GB to put their 3rd and 4th receivers on Sherman all game. Make him an afterthought by having him cover guys who are only going to get 15 receptions a year anyway.

If you can totally cut off one side of the field, isn't that valuable?

Yes, but if the teams other best WR gets a better matchup, why not put your best CB on him?

Throw a scrub at Shermans side and get better matchups on the #2-3 CB's although they do get help.

Dont get me wrong, i think Sherman is great but if he plays one side and doesnt shadow the other teams top target, im not sure thats worth 13-14 a year.

Just shows how great that team defense is of Seattle.

So a complete conspiracy theory based on nothing?

Got it.

And they felt he wasn't good enough. Certainly bad enough to cut a guy that was a draft pick (and not even try to put him on the practice squad, it appears) Undersized guys get drafted all the time, they hardly ever work out.

Good luck with him in Dallas. I know your defense does suck, but please put Sam on the active roster and play him at DE.

Sucked last year and still finished ahead of your scrub ass team.

Here's a list of SEC Defensive players of the year. Some were drafted low and did nothing in the NFL. It's not like SEC Defensive Player of the year automatically means you can play in the NFL.

Jarvis Jones

Morris Claibrorne

Patrick Peterson

Rolando McClain

Eric Berry

Glenn Dorsey

Patrick Willis

Demeco Ryans

David Pollack

Chad lavalais

LOL and his response unknowingly proves the point. Smart.

Seattle is the clear favorite. If they weren't already, last night reinforced it. They looked like a machine on both sides.
