REAL FOOTBALL Thread

If Seattle doesn't get a td there who knows what happens. It's impossible to beat that team from behind in their building. Seattle certainly did outplay them though.

The way I look at it...did the refs blow the call? Clearly. But Seattle was on point all game. No one could tackle Beast Mode. Play calling was excellent. Sherman made it a 1/2 field game. The better team that night won, so it's hard to be upset about that.

Seattle is just in a different stratosphere right now. Barring significant injuries, if they get homefield in the playoffs, forget it.

Clearly the best team in the league but i'm not over-reacting to them beating GB on Opening Night.

Or saying let's not even have a ****ing season because of it.

I'm actually going to echo what he said. Seahawks are no doubt the best team in the league. I think the gap between them and the next best team is large. Things can change but Seattle has just hit an insane amount of high end talent at the same time and they can still keep this team together for antoher 2 years at least. I feel like Wilson is not going to take top dollar. They do need to find another long term option at RB though.

Giants 2007 proves that **** doesn't matter when it comes to the post season. Plus we all know what will happen. Falcons get in as the WC and beat the piss out of Seattle.

You guys are headed for another long season. I think with another solid year of drafting high you will be right back since you have RYan/Jones.

Zito, that's why I said homefield. They could very lose in the Super Bowl. I still have the Saints winning the conference. I think Seattle drops a couple games in the West to allow the Saints to get homefield.

thethe, if the Falcons stay healthy, I think they'll be a moderate surprise to folks. Lots of weapons on offense. I'm not sold on our front seven, though yet. Hoping Biermann can stay healthy, and Hageman can keep his head screwed on. I'm very worried about our linebackers. Hopefully Shembo plays like he did in preseason, but losing Spoon is really going to hurt

I just worry about Atlantas line. Until you see improvement in that unit I don't think you are going anywhere. Ryan was abused last year.

Losing Baker hurt. Not gonna be able to ease Matthews in. I think our schedule will be our downfall. I've got us around 9-7 and just missing out.

If you knew anything about the Falcons line you'd know they ditched their 2 lowest performers for Matthews who should be decent at least, and Asamoah is a very good guard. His last fully healthy season in 2012 PFF graded him as the 10th best guard in the NFL, 6th best right guard. Falcons should be much stronger up the middle which was their biggest problem last year. Their tackles sucked too but the you can dance around the pocket to avoid outside the pocket pressure, but you can't do that if there's pressure coming up the gut as well.

Of all the tackles in the draft, Matthews was the most NFL ready. I am comfortable in LT. I just don't like Holmes. I wish we'd sign a RT incase he fails.

They are no doubt the best team in football to be sure but i think its a bit crazy to say, we should cancel the season off of one game at home.

Regards to Wilson taking less, could happen but i'll believe it when i see it.

Replacing Lynch will be harder than some of the players they could lose, he's the real MVP of their offense, not Wilson.

Who will beat them at home if they got HFA, thats a good question. Only SF healthy could but even they have their struggles up there in that zoo.

Anyone can beat Seattle at home. It's the NFL. Several teams have taken the hard way to the Superbowl and won it all. Since the Wild Card, there have been 6 WC SB champions and 4 other teams who made it to the Super Bowl.

Falcons were seemingly unbeatable at home in 2010, but Rodgers rolled over the Falcons. It takes one great game.

Seattle has Christine Michael, they are set at RB for a decade.

Also got Turbin. Personally I would keep Lynch on as long as possible .

Michael has 79 career rushing yards, FOH with that.

I do like him but he hasnt proven **** to say they're set there for the next decade.

Turbin has showed more than Michael.

I agree with you about Lynch though.
