REAL FOOTBALL Thread

I respectfully disagree. While he is extremely critical of them, that does not remove his homer-ism, nor his bias. The Cowboys are still his team and he is still in favor of anything to benefit them; just because he is critical of said team in their failures does not change that. He is like a sad/angry parent at their child doing poorly. He will always root for them and he will always be critical and critique them.

Eh I can give you that.

That's crazy if goodell saw this before. Couple that with spygate and he should be removed. I still can't believe we don't know what the Patriots did.

The Eagles are prob. definitely the best team in the lEast, but they're still very flawed. Their defense is not good. If they got down 17-0 to a competent team, that game is much different. Lucky they played such a bad team week 1.

First game of the season doesn't tell us much. The Eagles should be easily the best team in that division by default.

They will win 12 games this year IMO.

If Chip Kelly really is great, at MOST 12.
They are not significantly better than last year, and their schedule is much tougher. And they probably won't face a bunch of backup QBs again.
I just don't see where all the love comes from. They were incredibly healthy last year and that's already beginning to adjust on their O-line. They have no WRs. Foles is overall unproven and has a tendency to hold the ball forever. Guys better be wide open or he doesn't throw it. And there's no star power on their defense. Their secondary stinks.

Foles' first half was just as bad as Romo's. Difference is Romo was playing the Niners, Foles the Jaguars. The Cowboys could have beat them twice last year and neither team is much different. I know the Cowboys are not good. But a lot of things broke right for the Eagles last year.

Foles's first half was worse than Romo's.

If Foles keeps playing like he played this week, the Eagles will win 8 games but still probably win the East. The East is just plain old bad right now. Basically it's a grab for whatever team can play competent football. If you round up what happened. THe Eagles trailed 17-0 to the freaking Jaguars. Redskins couldn't do diddly poo against the Texans, Giants got murdered by the Lions, and the Cowboys got spanked by the Niners. 3 or 4 played teams who didn't make the playoffs last year, 2 of 4 played teams with top 3 picks. Now I will say, the Texans aren't comparable to say the Jaguars, Bills, and other perennial losers as like the Falcons they had been a consistent playoff force, but still that's a rough start.
