Why would you root for a team you have no connection to? You choose them bc they are winning so you want to be a fan of a winning team; which is a terrible reason to be a fan (a lot of women do this)

There are scenarios where it makes sense (Dad was from Boston, now lives in Georgia and now yall are Red Sox fans in Georgia)...you grew up in Boston and had to move to Cali.

You are a fan of the Braves, Thunder, Niners...........all 3 teams were winners when you became a fan...so why are you a fan of that team? Have you ever been to a Thunder or Niners home game? Do you have a single tie to those teams besides them being winners?

Being a Braves fan makes sense for a lot of people that don't have a hometown team bc of TBS. Being a fan of a team in Atlanta, SF, and Oklahoma City is ridiculous.

The idea that you can't form a connection with a team without being physically close is asinine. And hypocritical coming from you as well. How did you decide to root for the Hotspurs? Even if you go for the closest that would be either Swansea or Southampton. If you go by coverage it would have to be United, Chelsea or Arsenal.

Honestly as long as someone roots for the same team and watches them, who cares? Why does it matter to you why someone chose a certain team?

GF likes to think he is better at fandom than anyone else.

I'm a Braves, Falcons, and Jazz fan who lives in Utah and is relocating to San Francisco.

Proximity wise I should be debating which Bay Area teams I like more.

Being a fan is rooting for laundry. Who cares.

Also why does it matter that you started being a fan because that team was good?

I liked the Braves when I was younger because they were good. Maybe I'm less of a fan than other people because I bought high on the stock. I don't care. I like them.

And I'm a fan of the Falcons because they are from the same city as the Braves. Sure, now that I am 25 that seems like a ridiculous reason to cheer for a team, but when you are 10 it makes perfect sense. I'm sorry that I don't have as cool of a narrative as "my dad took me to Sox games at Fenway Pahhhhhk as a kid and I watched Nomah play." But watching Chipper and Andruw play in their primes is good enough for me.

Yes I do.

How many game managers have back to back to back seasons with 100.0 QB Rating? How about 26 TDS in back to back years? Nearly 3 times as many career TDs than INTs?

And this is only talking about his passing #'s.

Ok i'll eat crow, he's been progressing as a passer much better lately.

But i still stand by it, it's pretty big he knows going into games he doesnt need to put up 30 a game.

Fox declines interview with the Jets (who have been turned down a LOT this offseason) making the speculation roll that he has a better offer lined up with possibly Atl or Chicago?

He hasn't been progressing as a passer lately. In fact his DVOA, DYAR, and Total QBR have all gone down since his rookie season, the first 2 have gone down each year he's been in the NFL.

Wilson is a good QB, arguably top 10. I don't think I'd call him a game manager in the same sense as say Alex Smith, but he is a game manager in the loosest sense where controlling the ball is more important in his responsibility than making dangerous passes. The non-elite guys who're better than him like Ryan, Rivers, Rapelisberger, and Romo all have to do that. Sure it makes thme look bad at times, but they do it. We'll see how great Wilson is when he gets paid and that hurts the talent aroudn him.

Seachickens have the next 2 years where they're go for it and then it's on Wilson.

After 2014 they have FAs who're basically replaceable like Kevin Williams. It's after 2015 that things get interesting that's when Okung, Lynch, Mebane, Miller, Irvin, Sweezy, Wilson and Wagner his FA. They'll have a 0.0% chance of keeping all of those guys.
