REAL FOOTBALL Thread

The idea that you can't form a connection with a team without being physically close is asinine. And hypocritical coming from you as well. How did you decide to root for the Hotspurs? Even if you go for the closest that would be either Swansea or Southampton. If you go by coverage it would have to be United, Chelsea or Arsenal.

Honestly as long as someone roots for the same team and watches them, who cares? Why does it matter to you why someone chose a certain team?

I don't know that I would really call myself a Spurs fan, I have zero Spurs gear, have never been to a match, and my life is not affected any way whether they win or lose. I do like to see them do well, but I really wouldn't be in the position to brag to people about being a Spurs fan.

The Seahawks had the number 1 rushing offense in the NFL by a landslide and yet they struggle to score points. That tells you (along with WIlsons numbers) he's not an elite QB. Put him on the Raiders and they wouldn't go anywhere. But, what he is good at is being a piece that doesn't lose the games for you and will occasionally make enough plays to get the win. He's not a QB that comes from behind when they can't run the ball and the defense isn't stopping the other team. (Same thing he did at Wisconsin)

Borderline top 10....maybe. But, not someone that would lift a bad team into the playoffs like an elite or very good QB.

John Fox is a terrible head coach. You guys watch the games or no?

He isn't good. Not bad, but not good either. In the meh middle.

People want Denvers staff because they are good, well they are good because Elway has done a pretty good job, and they have Peyton Manning. See the last 5 games...

Gase and Fox are getting heat because they are winning and they are winning because of Peyton. Fox is a "just don't steer the ship toward the iceberg" kinda guy.

It is inexcusable in this day an age for coaches to not have an understanding on when to go for it on 4th down or when to go for a 2 point conversion. It's not a "gut" feel that coaches like to lean back on.

SF DC Vic Fangio will request his release if he is passed over by a younger HC. Pretty good name to get out there...

Guy hasn't ever been considered a head coach option all these years. Best DC in the game perhaps, but I think there isn't reason why he's never even gotten an interview for a vacancy. That being said I don't want to lose him from the team. If that means making him head coach then so be it.

That's the type of fans you get when you only root for a team because they are winning.

Has nothing to do with that. Why support a team who had no desire to try and improve. Hiring Gase is a decision that says we don't want to get better.

Your opinion and you are probably considerably more ill informed to make that opinion than the FO

And besides.... Being a fan means riding the good with the bad

Seriously, what's wrong with Adam Gase?

Also, weren't you all super gung ho with firing Harbaugh? Kinda serves you right imo.

What is wrong with Adam Gase? Zero head coaching experience and his own boss doesn't feel he's ready to be a head coach. His resume is pretty thin and being the OC for Denver is equivalent to being Manning's understudy.
