Grew up seeing Montana and Rice and later on Steve Young. As a 5-6 year old I didn't really understand what teams were good and so forth. But anyone with eyes loved seeing Rice on the football field.

If Montana and Rice weren't good, you wouldn't have rooted for them.
 
Seems like a pretty strong likelihood that the Jets swoop in and steal Bowles.

Hopefully the Falcons can hire Mike Smith back. At least he would take the job.

Where is Doug Marrone in all this? Not specifically for either of these jobs. But whats going on with him?

He was considered the unanimous front runner for the Jets job, but he blew his interview.

Then all reports came out about him being a pain in the ass surfaced and he hasn't interviewed since.

I'm hoping he enjoys the $4m he got from the Bills because it's probably his last NFL head coaching check he's ever going to get.

Off topic in a sense, but since the loyalty laws court is now in session, I must ask giles how he is a Braves fan.

He's good if you need a short-term fix but post-Manning, it's best to look elsewhere. I hope they get Quinn.

Regarding Gase, i think he'd get owned by the NFC West coaching staffs, but thats just me.

Garrett gets a five year extension. One post berth and a marginal albeit above .500 record in his tenure. It's comical how the standards in Dallas have gone away.
