Falcons sign Leonard Hankerson for 1 year 1 million.

Derrick Morgan heading to visit Tampa dammit.

Considering the Falcons had been his only visit I wouldn't be too worried yet.

I feel confident that if the price is right and the Falcons really want him, then they can sign him considering the G. Tech connection.

I do as well, but FA's usually don't leave a destination if that club really wants him. I'd be all for signing both he and Clayborn and letting a rookie rotate in.

I don't know if that's necessarily true. Most free agents visit a couple of clubs before making a decision based on the sheer volume of "player x is visiting team y today".

I don't know how likely it is he signs with the Falcons, but I wouldn't take it as a negative sign that he didn't sign on the spot.

Morgan headed to TB, and per Roto probably won't get out of there.

Eh... It's very possible it happens, but it's absolute speculation by the blurb writer. Even the TB beat writer says not to read much into Morgan leaving Atlanta without a contract.

No Guaranteed amounts mentioned but so far falcons have these contracts announced

Hankerson 1/1
Reed 5/22
Durant 3/10.8
Yates 1/1.5
Stupar 1/.6
Godfrey 1/1.2
Weems 2/3

So assuming even contracts, that's like 12M and that doesn't include Person or Smith, considering Person was making nothing he can't be more than 1M, Antone should be under 2M. Still can make a few moves. IIRC they were at like 27M before the offseason so if their hit for all those guys is like 15M, then they can for sure make a big signing.

Knox Bardeen says that even after the signings they are at 29 million in cap space.

THat doesn't sound quite right. That sounds close to right if you don't factor in draft and dead money. Though hell I don't know about the cap structure of any of the signings yet aside from the obvious 1 year deals.

He got those numbers from the NFLPA. So I guess there is a chance it didn't include Reeds and Hankerson since they hadn't officially signed. But like you said, who knows.

All I know is that the Falcons can spend freely this year and still have room to extend Julio.

Extending JJ is big. Got to get that guy locked down.

Clayborn in for a visit , and Id like to get him and Morgan on the roster. Apparently DaQuan Bowers is looking our way as well

Trent Baalke telling PFT they won't pursue Hardy because of his off field issues, but have a roster LITTERED with them and just signed another in Jerome Simpson.

C'mon dude.

Updating a previous report, free agent RB Ryan Mathews has not signed his contract with the Eagles.

Murray on his way to Philly and "expects to become an Eagle".

I'd prefer he didn't go to a rival, but RBs around his age and after that many touches tend to fade pretty quickly.
I'm all for pursuing AP. I don't think he follows the normal rules; he is always the exception.

The most Yeezus post ever. RBs fade, but hey the child abuser the Cowboys are going after is the exception!
