REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Yeah, with as much as it's said between each other, it's odd to me to see it "offend" them so much. If it were THAT offensive to you, you wouldn't say it every other word.

Agreed. I'm not saying that Riley Cooper shouldn't be looked at in a negative light. I just think black people need to look in the mirror and understand why non-black people don't think the word is that offensive anymore.

On another note, how many NFL shows does ESPN need? More to the point, how many NFL shows that serve the exact same purpose and include the exact same analysts does ESPN need?

They have a "new" one debuting Monday, did I hear that right? NFL Insiders!
So they have NFL Live.
NFL32.
NFL Insiders.
Am I missing one?
What's the point of their other shows if they don't already give us "inside" information that we don't know?

NFL is so successful that you can never have too much. At least you can't have anything that won't be profitable. Its really insane just how well football is doing. Owners are making money hand over fist.

They used to have Edge NFL Matchup, and of course they have the Blitz. The Sunday and Monday Pre-game shows too, but those are necessary and feature exclusive "analysts".

Right, I understand the pre-game shows, but now they have 3 NFL shows that are "different" that come on every single day.

Meh. I've seen nothing from his time in Dallas that tells me he's a good coach. Even though we had no run game and a bad line, there was very little creativity, and I think Romo is good enough to do a lot of things.

IMO Romo has reached the point where he's underrated. The media hypes Dallas up, without realizing they've had no run game or line for years now, with no one in the secondary and an average defensive line. Then when they struggle, it's all somehow Romo's fault, even though he is legitimately carrying this teams on his back to 8 wins. Putting Aaron Rodger on this Cowboys teams the last few years would not have turned them into an 12-win team.

I completely agree. Tony Romo is very underrated and gets way too much undeserved crap. Like you said if Aaron Rodgers and Tony Romo switched places the team's records wouldn't change a whole lot if any.

Audibles that they air on Thursday nights before the college football.

I don't get that channel.
If I got MLB Network and NFL network I would never watch BSPN.

Same here. :(

Did the guy on the niners face punishment for what he said about ***s? Or is this jjust about slurs. I would think both situations are equally hurtful. I grew with the word nigga using it as another word for brother when I was saying whats up to someone. Jad a bunch of black kids in my crew and it was a show of friendship.

It wasn't nearly this bad. I'm half-expecting Cooper to be manning a radar tower in Alaska by the end of the day.
