Jay Gruden says Kirk Cousins "is the best quarterback on our roster at this time. ... He's earned the right to be our starter for 2015."

bahahahahaha
but did anyone tell him RG3 won the division his rookie year?!

It's not the same RG3 bruh.

Tyler Yates is awful.

I hope RG does get a chance to run a competent system (not Jay Grudens)

Guy is too fragile. he has a heck of a lot of ability but his poor reading and fragility are his biggest issues and I don't think either is likely to improve too much. Some team who's desperate for a QB should take him and hope for a turn around.

That's part of it, RG3 getting his legs/knee's destroyed is another part of it.

sure, but i don't think he was ever destined for greatness just because of his rookie year.
and that's why you don't trade 3 drafts for one player.

The RGIII trade might be the worst trade of the past couple decades on a results basis. I understand the injury element, but let's not act like that wasn't the big elephant in the room the year he was drafted.

Not sure you are using the right term with results basis. The Skins won their first division in over a decade because of the trade and that was 100% bc of RG3. The Rams haven't won anything. Then RG shredded his knee (which was a concern bc he's a running QB and had it before at Baylor)...knee was shredded standing in the pocket, fwiw.

When you look the actual talent that changed hands of course it's going to be talked about as one sided. But, in the NFL it's all about the QB. I would trade any 10 players on the roster for a prime Tom Brady.

Gruden's offense isn't suited for RG3. Gruden offense is suited for Colt McCoy types that have weak arms, but get rid of the ball quickly. If you completely take away the deep element, you are taking away RGs strength as a passer. Hes just not going to be the guy that gets to his drop and dumps off to a RB for a 2 yard gain. I think someone like Atlanta, Arizona, KC, or Philly takes a shot at him even if its just to sit on the roster for a year.

Ricky Williams for 8 picks
2 first and a second for ryan leaf
2 firsts for Joey Galloway

These three are much worse trades.

The Saints traded Ricky for two first round picks and he also gave them three really good years. That trade wasn't as bad in retrospect as it was at the time.

But at this point it's semantics. If RG3 isn't the worst trade in recent memory, it's certainly in the conversation.

The Saints traded:

99 1st
99 3rd
99 4th
99 5th
99 6th
99 7th
00 1st (2nd overall)
00 3rd

then got 2 backend first in return, I believe.

I guess there is value in RG3 sidetracking the national conversation from your racist mascot to the giant Snyder/Gruden/RG3 cluster bleep.

lol, ok. You go it.

Sound butthurt that the Falcons are a loser franchise that has never actually won anything.

And received two first round picks that help offset the loss of the two first rounders. The Redskins traded 3 first rounders.

Again, semantics.

The Redskins traded 3 firsts and got 1 in return. The Saints got 2 first devalued because it was 3-4 years later. And it was for a RB, which is retarded to trade for.
