REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Wow. What a drive. Good job on the Giants being idiots and not running it at the end of theirs. I hate both of these teams, but, that was a fun game to watch.

The Cowboys losing would have been big for my survivor pick'em tourney. Almost 1/7th of the league had them winning... and the pot is over $140K.

Oh well. I've always like Romo.

Lions with the epic choke job. Good job targeting Megatron 4 times.

Tell me about it!! I have him in a fantasy league and that didn't help. That was a really nifty "juke" Abdullah put on the Chargers' safety though.

Calvin has been on the downside, I'm not sure why people refuse to believe that. Yeah, he'll have his moments, but Megatron isn't the Megatron of years ago.

I cannot believe the Giants.....all they have to do is run the ball or take a sack and they almost certainly win...wtf was that?

I think he has taken a flat out beating and its taking its toll,

I think Megatron is still one of the best in the game. Can't help it if they didn't target him. He didn't shrink and he still has amazing hands and jumping skills. No reason he shouldn't be the first target in the end zone every red zone possession.

He probably wasn't open which is why he received very few passes his direction. Although just a few years back they would just throw him the ball no matter what. I agree he should be getting a look in the red zone automatically.

Stafford regressing hasn't helped him. Stafford never really became more than an arm at the NFL level. He has one of the best, but his short stuff never was particularly sharp or effective.

Megatron was targeted 124 times last year and only caught 71 of them. Golden Tate was targeted 136 times and caught 99 passes. Its not just Stafford.

Tron also played injured most of the year. I get that injuries are part of the game, especially for older players. But it's been one game and he was barely targeted. His is injury free by all accounts. I'll wait a few a weeks before I say he's not elite anymore.
