REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Thankfully we got out to a hot start and the Saints sucked during that stretch. We've got some major, major issues to fix. Pass defense over the middle are poor, and more turnovers.

I have seen teams call a timeout down by 3 tds with 3 minutes left. Whats the big deal?

Falcons have always struggled in the Superdome. Wasn't really a shock to me. They get rocked to play at home.

Easily fixable issues and that's a win. Can't stop yourself on two 4th downs with fumbles, fumble 4 times total and expect to win a game in the NFL. How good is Cam Jordan?

With Brees, someone is going to get fed. Tonight it was Watson. Guy has always played at high level and still does.

Not hitting the panic button, as the Saints are likely not as bad as they have shown the first quarter of the season.

No, the Saints are this bad. The defense is much improved but the offense is a shell of its former self.

So are your guys gonna start playing Abdullah lots more? I saw some film of him (in college) right before the draft and he looked OK but not that great, all the times I've seen him as a pro he has impressed.

Should get the rock this week with Riddick out, bell coming off an injury. Has to stop fumbling though.

How is he at picking up blitzes? When a rookie doesn't play as much as his talent would suggest this is often one of the main reasons (fumbling as you point out is another). That's one of the main things I miss about Murray in Dallas, he would nail LBs when they blitzed. Now we have Joseph Randle, who just shoplifts from them.
 
After Keenen Allens no TD catch at the half , And Golden Tate's fumble as a runner .... I don't know what a TD actually looks like anymore
