REAL FOOTBALL Thread

If the Falcons played the Patriots 10 times, there offense would do well maybe 7 out of 10 times. We know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it's great and can score on anyone, but in a one game sample size anything can happen. Not sure the Super Bowl is really going to answer any questions we might have about either team. Both are elite and both are worthy champions.

Yeah, the offense is great, but that hasn't forced the world to play attention. Its just a reality that there are teams that move the needle and others that do not. It's kinda just a 'blah" superbowl to me. Some title games I watch every play, others I get drunk and eat a **** load of food. This is more of a watch casually type game. I'm already tired of the Pats as it is, but matching them up with the Falcons makes it less interesting to me.

As for the game, the Falcons have a great offense and poor defense. The Falcons are going to have to keep up, I don't see the Falcons slowing down the Pats too much.

The Falcons defense is not poor. They improved quite a bit throughout the year. Why don't you ask Aaron Rodgers how poor they were.

They get after the passer very well with Beasley and we all know that's the way to beat Brady. Put him on his ass 10 or more times a game either by sack or QB hurries.
 
Im not intending to come here and trash the Falcons. I hope they win. BUt, the defense was poor. It played decent the past couple weeks and probably improved, but Rodgers had a decent day with most of his weapons injured and down by a million points in the first half bc the defense got torched and GB fumbled and missed a FG to get behind

I understand giving Shanahan the power to pick his GM. The 49ers are a dumpster fire and would likely have to give any sought after candidate that power to attract them. I can also understand Shanahan picking someone he'll certainly be able to control. However, you really need someone with experience and a steady hand to make sure things stay on track. Maybe Kyle Shanahan's going to have his dad in some kind of consulting role to be that guy.

Yeah I get wanting a puppet, but no HC experience + no FO experience + ****ty ownership situation is not a favorable scenario.
