REAL FOOTBALL Thread

He doesn't have an advanced feel for passing in the poket he has a skill for passing in his style but that's not a pocket passer. He doesn't read as fast, he doesn't release as fast, and so on so forth. Seriously you're delusional if you think he's fast which is what I'd consider Ryan. I would compare him more to Rapelisberger as someone who's good but also too trusting of his ability. He unlike Rapelisberger though has a great OL.

Sure thing Zito. He will continue to prove you wrong week after week. Continue to think he is only good because of the team he is on while Ryan is good because Ryan is great and nothing to do with his weapons.

Ryan has a lot to do with his weapons that's for sure. But I love how you're so quickly to talk about Ryan's weapons but not about Kaepernick's. I mean I think that's the fun irony of thise board. Everyone is obsessed with Ryan's weapons but doesn't acknowledge the skill of their own team's weapons. Only team who can make a claim that their team doesn't have significant weapons to back their QB and not be entirely wrong is maybe the Pats, but they still have some nice weapons for Brady.

I have always praised the overall talent of the 49ers. Where have you been?

However, Ryan has arguably the best collection of receivers in football. Lets see what Kaep does when Mario and crab come back. Then it will be close to even footing. I don't even think you realize how good the Falcons weapons are.

Falcons have great weapons but they're hardly historical. What makes the Falcons weapons great is they have guys who can cover all aspects of the the game. Julio is a deep threat, Roddy a tweener and Tony a short. Not to mention Harry is a good slash.

Nobody is saying they are historic. Please stop trying to stretch the argument. The fact of the matter is that Ryan has arguably the best collection of weapons in the NFL today. He is still an awesome QB but dont' try to say Kaep has x and y while not using that against Ryan.

When have I ever down played Ryan's weapons? You've never even remotely talked up a weapon except for Crabtree and the running game. And I wasn't comparing Ryan to Kaepernick I was comparing Kaepernick to Rapelisberger, so nice deflection.

I guess you missed where I said Manningham was awesome and how much I think of Kyle Williams moving forward. I always spoke highly of Davis so I don't know where you are coming from.

RG3 looked better in the second half.

Eagles offense is wow, fast.

Amendola out Thursday, color me shocked.

And McCoy is such a monster, Jesus.

Tried to get him in all my leagues, but never fell to me.

Think he's gonna be so good this year.

Conservatively I think around week 10 but won't be fully integrated until later on. Davis will be a great option. They worked together a lot in the offseason to build that chemistry that is necessary. 49ers also had Davis working with the wide receivers a lot to shore up his route running which at times is lacking. 49ers LOVE the TE they drafted in the second round this year so it will allow Davis who is a great blocker to go out in more routes. Don't expect 2 TD performances every week but he will be a great option until Crab is down.

I don't think we see Crabtree this calender year. If we do it will be in small doses and trying to assess his conditioning and what not. If he makes any sort of positive contributions this season I will be shocked. That being said there are advances in medicine, but the achilles is a major deal.

Kaep is scary good. The rest of us just have to hope he goes away. Maybe he decides to join the Miami Heat or something.

What makes Kaep a douche? He says all the right things. I guess some people are so prued that they don't like tattoos.

Not that, once they have to pay Kap huge money, it will hurt how they build their team.

You can't have a ton of players making insane money especially with your QB making 15-20 million. They'll have to let some players go or lose some key players in free agency.

Wilson and Kap are on rookie contracts.

Seattle and SF both face this when they eventually have to pay Wilson/Kap insane $$

For their sake, they should take less to keep better players around him, will that happen, time shall tell.
