REAL FOOTBALL Thread

I don't think he's a bad QB in any way. It just amazes me at how much money he's already made in his career for the sort of QB he is.

Same with Jay Cutler. Cutler has made 122M over his career assuming he makes the roster cut with the Dolphins.

Second-year LB Antwione Williams is expected to be the Lions' starting strong-side linebacker.

Sturg I believe I said this guy was a player when you guys drafted him last year. Guy is built like a mack truck. Good on that GS alum for earning a spot over some pretty high picks

And in a shocking move, the Lions have cut him

I'm just having a hard time getting excited about this season for the Falcons. I suppose it will get better once they start playing the games.

Seahawks player Michale Bennet was a victim of police after the Mayweather fight. There was a sound people thought was a gun shot so people acted accordingly and ran or hid. Police see a big black man running so of course he is the suspect. Cops put a gun to his head and said if he moved they would blow his ****ing head off.

Guess I'll play the prediction game.

Wow Saints last? The defense is better than it has been in a long time. If the Saints can match last year's offense I think they are going to be good but I really think this could be the year the offense craps the bed. The league has caught on to Paytons offense.

I don't think their d will be much better. Better, but not much.

Jaylon Smith back in the lineup for Dallas. Big storyline . Good for him.

Las Vegas PD asks NFL to "investigate" Michael Bennett. Goodell to his credit said no. Really happy the NFL is standing by the victim here instead of trying to victimize Bennett even more. I know the Raiders were going to move to LV, I hope the NFL reconsiders this now. Las Vegas PD are one of the most criminal police departments in America. At the least I hope players refuse to play in Las Vegas. For the home team or the opposing team.

Here is the bodycam footage. You see umpteen million people running. My issue isnt so much with the arrest its with the officer putting a gun to his head and threatening to blow his head off if he moved. I can understand taking precaution and handcuffing anyone that they have any reason to think might be the shooter. At the point they arrested him Bennett was not running, he was standing outside after running outside like about 100 people around him. He complies 100% with the officer immediately. Active shooters dont comply with cops orders, especially if they are armed.

Ezekiel Elliot has been awarded a temporary restraining order against the NFL. He is now eligible to play. NFL will get a chance to make a quick appeal but if they don't get a reversal them Elliot will most likely play the whole season before this gets settled. I always love that in these cases Goodell's only valid argument is "The CBA the players agreed to says I am literally God and I have no obligation to treat them fairly".

Did you see the CYA beeotch who recommended a 6 game suspension for EE despite her investigator's recommendation and a complete lack of evidence other than the "she said" of an individual who has been caught on tape threatening to blackmail him on some other thing, AND who is allegedly a VaGiants season ticket holder and has allegedly been described by those who know her as a "rabid VaGiants fan" who recommended a ONE game suspension for a member of "her team" (Josh Brown) a few years back, a player who had a long history of domestic abuse that was documented and allegedly known about by just about everybody in the VaGiants organization, and the Mara fellatatior Goodell have now gone back and changed that player's ONE game suspension to a suspension at least equal to that of EE?

I havent followed this situation closely but I do specifically remember saying the leagues bull**** disciplinary process would lead to fans of opposing teams to make false claims against a player.
