This whole "conduct detrimental to the league" is getting out of control. I would be surprised if there is anyone here who does not think Goodell's conduct has been detrimental to the league. His actions suppressing CTE was most definitely detrimental to the league. The players kneeling are adversely affecting the league by their actions and he wont discipline them. Conduct detrimental to the league seems to be used like how the police use disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

I really don't like Jerry Jones at all, but what Goodell and his arse kissing brigade are doing (at John Mara's behest most likely) is beyond stupid and is threatening to destroy what has become the #1 sport in the US. The Falcons kicked the living crap out of the Cowboys yesterday, no questions and no excuses, but did you check out the officiating as well? Again it wouldn't have mattered to the outcome, the better team clearly won and by more than what the score indicated, but ask yourself this, how many quarters has it been since offensive holding has been called against a Cowboys' opponent in the trenches (just OL vs DL)?
I guess when they fully become the WWE/NBA and more than 1/2 of Americans stop watching entirely maybe Mara and his anal care brigade will be happy. It's not helping the vaGiants this year though is it?

The officiating in that game was beyond horrible. And it's been something like 22 quarters since a team was called for offensive holding against the Cowboys. That's pretty hard to imagine.

I wouldn't have believed it years ago but when you have someone of such low moral character as Goodell running the show I can't rule out anything. A few games ago I changed my mind, I think the refs manipulate their calls. It was actually a few calls I saw going in favor of the saints a few weeks ago that convinced me.

Look at how the Raiders have gotten screwed by the officials over the years, especially when Al Davis was still alive. I have seen the Cowboys get ridiculous calls in their favor in past years too, and get totally screwed by them in other years, but they say Goodell now wants $50 million/year and lots of the owners are all in favor of that, including Arthur Blank, who I would have given more credit than that in previous years. John Mara is another matter of course.

It's been 26 quarters.
The Falcons WR took an offensive hold with 1:57 left in the game Sunday. That was the first time a cowboys opponent has been called for an offensive holding in 26 quarters. The streak for an offensive lineman being called is still at 26. This is for the team that was #3 in sacks coming into week 10.
There were a minimum of 4 person fouls on Atlanta not called on Sunday.

Commissioner Mara and his lapdog Goddell should both just grow the mustaches and get it over with. After all, how effed up do you have to be from a moral and ethical (and sensible for that matter) standpoint to get into a pissing contest with freakin' Jerry Jones to come across as the bad guy? Did Congress ever shoot down the NFL's BS government protected monopoly and dictatoral status? If not, maybe it's time to make these aholes operate by the same rules as everybody else, since they don't think there are any rules that apply to them.
Oh and I REALLY want Zeke to be able to take his case before a REAL court, even the SCOTUS, somewhere that ALL the evidence from both sides can be heard by a group that doesn't already have their blinders oriented decisions made. If it ever happens they might have to change the name to ENFL.
Also, to the owners, who are otherwise seemingly respectable decent human beings (no Mara didn't make this list) like I used to think Arthur Blank was, it's real easy to go along when your team isn't getting railroaded, but just hang in there, it'll be your turn eventually, and see how much sympathy you get then. If worse comes to worse at that point, just let me know and I'll be happy to tell you where to find that sympathy.

Agreed, him and all of his cohorts, but we both know that ain't happening unless there's a REAL coach somewhere who will come in and let JJ make all the decisions for him. JG sucks to be sure, but anything JJ brings in instead would be even worse, at least until 15 years from now when he's trying to con the people of DFW into ponying up for him another new staduim.

Why does no one in this league play ****ing defense with a two-score lead late? It seems like every single game when a team has a two-score lead with 3-5 minutes left, they wind up losing or going to OT.
