REAL FOOTBALL Thread

What a bizarre decision to go for it on 4th and not just kicking a field goal. Even worse to try running the ball with a 5'6 running back.

Ultimately it comes down to what does your team do best? The Falcons sure look like a hell of a lot better when they're passing than they do when they're running the ball. Houston, on the other hand, has looked way better when running than when throwing the ball (though they insist upon throwing it way too much).

Sometimes I think coaches out think themselves. If your team sucks at running the ball, then why waste downs on a futile attempt at "balance". If your team is awesome at running the ball, then run the damn ball and stop trying to be a master of everything.

I can agree with that. If you have AP...if you have Foster...go ahead and feel comfortable running.

If you have a mobile QB that can build an offense like Seattle, SF, Buffalo...etc...

Then run cause thats your jam.

But Atlanta and Matt Ryan needs to quit being so damn soft.

Julio, Roddy, Tony G, and some guys who can catch it out of the backfield. Stop running the damn ball!!

They must really not have much faith, if any, in their defense if you're going for it on 4th this early in the game.

Falcons defense is so pathetic. Refs dicked them last drive with a bad OPI call then a big missed holding.

But the falcons d has been pathetic and the Falcons OL has been truly pathetic
