REAL FOOTBALL Thread

I said there were about 12 quarterbacks better than Griffin. Let's see if we can agree on those or if there are more or less than 12.

Peyton, ARod, Brees, Brady, Romo, Luck, Stafford, Ryan, and Rivers I feel are all clearly better. That's 9 right there. The next list are guys that would probably be debatable depending on who you ask. Kaep, Roethlisberger, Newton, Eli, and Wilson.

Thoughts?

Are you talking about just for the rest of the year? Up till this point? The next 3-4 years?

Guys, the whole Rodgers vs. Kap thing was just me screwing around with nocalgirl since she's a fudge packer fan. Don't get your panties all up in a wad. No one really thinks Kap is a better QB than Rodgers.

Now take the Kap talk to the circle jerk thread. Giles (the fun police) already told yall so.

So Rodgers didn't have his weapons the last three times the 49ers beat his team down?

That wasnt the subject I was explaining.

It was comparing the "excuses" that are used for Kaepernick...to the lack of a need for excuses for Rodgers.

And to the point about the head to head...its hard to get a fair comparison because the opponent is really the opposing defense.

Its not so much a batter vs. a pitcher kinda example.

But you spread it out over a season...or a career even. You get a more even playing field.

And then, you can take a look at how the team stacks up around the QB..and you can make an even greater argument for or against a guy.

Like I was doing with the "lack of weapons" argument. Its a way...not the way.

Clearly you haven't watched Wilson or bothered to look at his stats.

20th in passing yards, 28th in passing yards per game, 16th in completion percentage, only thrown 205 times, which is 23rd among QB's.

Only thing top 10 is passer rating.

PPG is a crap stat. There are several QB's ahead of him with significantly less attempts. And Wilson doesn't have as many attempts because his team constantly has the lead in the 4th quarter and they have one of the best RB's in the league to drain the clock.

Wilson is currently 10th in the league in TDs. 7th in the league in TD/Int ratio. And he's not just top 10 in QB Rating. He's 6th. And he's done all this behind a very banged up OL and with his top WR on the IR.

Wilson is definitely top 10. I hate going against that guy. He is going to be around for a LONG time.
