REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Yeah, it was a win but Seattle was a better team today. Wilson is just a great player. Seattle is going to be a good time for a long long time.

Their success right now has a lot to do with having some very good and cheap talent at key positions. I am not saying they still wont be good but its going to be a lot harder when they are paying Russell Wilson 20 million a year and Richard Sherman 10+ million a year as opposed to right now when they combine to barely make 1 million. There are plenty of other players on that team that are going to get paid really well soon and they cant keep all of them.

Have you seen Cousins play this year?

And what do you expect a guy to do who comes in cold off the bench? Cousins is a better quarterback than Griffin and he will get a chance to start in this league within a couple years.

I meant the difference in Cousins starting vs Griffin wont change a win vs a loss.

Falcons should win either way.

Its a fair point but I think Wilson is going to get to the level of a top 5 QB consistently. That makes all the difference in the world.

I think Wilson is and will continue to be really, really good. But it will be interesting to see what happens if he doesn't have an insanely talented team around him. He doesn't have great weapons to throw to, but having Lynch, his line, and that defense is a huge advantage.

Most of the year the OL has been a disaster though.

There is just something about Wilson. He knows exactly what to do to buy time in almost every situation. He anticipates well and makes great decisions. Just an awesome QB.

Mannerisms and footwork look a LOT like Brees Imo. Keeps his eyes downfield just like him.

For a team already prone to turn the ball over, the snow is the last thing we need. We had 3 fumbles inside the Eagles 30 yard line yesterday... That's 3 possible scores just completely erased by not holding a football.

And our secondary can barely cover anyone on turf, let alone 8 inches of snow

Well, you weren't the only team playing it in. Maybe put the KR guy out there? He didn't seem to have any issues in fact quite the opposite.

Lots of players and people around Washington today....rumors are Shanny is out.

LOL if true, RG3 runs the Skins and is a coach killer

Firing the head coach in Washington isn't the answer, but if you fire him you may as well clean house. Honestly nobody in that organization should feel safe about their job, to include the owner and general manager.

Shanny's face cannot get any more red. He probably wants out in time to get a shot at the Houston job.

That's the grumblings I've been hearing as well. Shanny is hoping to get fired so he can lobby for Houston. A team built more the way he likes. And he can draft Bridgewater or anyone else.

Skins ruined that kid IMO. He should have never played this year. He wasn't close to being ready.
