REAL FOOTBALL Thread

He's a slightly better version of Alex Smith; game manager. Good QBs average more than 7 yards per attempt. He can play ok when he has best receiving corps in the NFL

Lol

Ryan's career Y/A is 7.1. He's currently at 6.9 with pretty weak overall weapons. Ryan will almost for sure make Harry Douglas a 1,000 yard receiver.

Ryan is 10th in NY/A and tied for 12th in Y/A

That said as someone who loves Y/A and it's your only metric for liking a QB you must have a raging Boehner for Tony Romo And you also think Cam Newton = Peyton Manning.

Romo is great. Until the 4th quarter.

Someone doesn't watch Falcons games , but that's ok it's only for the real fans . If we have any that is....

Also, addendum to how many rookies we started on D vs the Skins is up to 6. Osi wasn't given the start. 7 if you count Massoquoi (2nd year first with any PT).

4 of the top 11 teams in football reside in the NFC West according to football outsiders.

After a bad mid season slump, Kaep has also turned in a solid sophomore season. This was why I was laughing when everyone basically said I was wrong about him. His development has been on a great course thus far and the things he has learned from struggling this season are going to help him tremendously moving forward.

49ers just didn't have legit NFL wide receivers outside of Boldin earlier in the year and Davis was fighting injuries early on. The playoffs will be the big test.

No, people were laughing because you crowned him before he really did anything or proved it. He's been solid but far from great, and he was downright BAD in a lot of game. Really good QBs don't play as poorly as he did and as often, regardless of how many players are injured.
He has a long way to go to become one of the best in the league. Right now, he's not even close.

It's funny, people buy in to the stupid ESPN hype that blows Romo up every time it happens. It happens to every QB, but his are worse. Usually his are "worse" because they lose the game. They lose the game because the defense, for years now, has not been able to make key stops. No one acknowledges that, though.

interesting graph. Does it take into account fumbling the hold as well?

Something about the dude crumbles in Dec. His winning percent is vastly lower in December.

Yet his numbers are not.
The Cowboys team collapses. They play their absolute worst defense in December, and it's not even close. As I said, the defense rarely makes key stops to win big games. Every time a team needs to drive down the field for a FG or TD late in an important game, for the most part, they are easily able to. There is definitely something about this organization, but Romo doesn't play defense. They never have a secondary worth a damn, and haven't had good LBers, either. Right now, they have no DL, no LBers, AND no secondary.

Jerry Jones has neglected the safety position since Roy Williams failed. Morris Claiborne has been a total bust. Carr is a good CB but has had no help whatsoever, and thus has been getting burned. The team is a mess and has been for a while. Trust me, that aint Romo's fault.

He has basically been a top 10 QB for the last year and a half. I'll take that from a guy who is still learning how to play the position.

I don't get having that Church kid at Safety when you have a 3rd rounder in JJ Wilcox that is way more athletically gifted. He has only played safety for 2 years though. Wilcox is the future and he can't be worse than what ya got so far from the status quo.

He gets ripped bc of 4th quarter collapses like vs. GB. Like Detroit this year. Like the terrbible INT vs. the Skins in the last game last year (his defense played well), He folds up like a cheap tent.

right, the GB game was his fault. Not the defense who allowed 5 straight TDs to a Matt Flynn led offense, putting completely uneccessary pressure on the entire team. Yup, ALL romo. classic hater. enjoy your lady QB there in washington. I'll take mine over diva bobby.

I don't understand a lot they do.
I don't understand playing back 10 yards on WRs. I don't get not blitzing more and rushing 3-4. I don't get playing prevent defense mid-way through the 3rd. I don't get monte kiffin still having a job.
There are a ton of terrible decisions made every week.
