REAL FOOTBALL Thread

So the Falcons are virtually locked into 4-12 they have no business beating SF or Carolina when they have anything to play for.

The other 4-11 games are Jax @ Indy, Indy has same record as Cincy and NE so winning could mean a lot. It could be HFA.Browns @ Steelers, Steelers should win but lets hope for a Browns miracle! Broncos Raiders Broncos will roll to lock up HFA. Tampa/NO. NO needs to win to get in, they should roll.

All in all none of the 4 win teams are playing games where teams are mailing it in. Hopefully sa few upsets happen that get Atlanta Back into the top 5.

HOLY FACEPALMS BATMAN.

Brockers has been damn good this year from what I've seen. Ogletree has too....Zac Stacy is a solid back as well. Great draft...

They will get their pick of the litter, Matthews, Clowney, Barr, or if Houston grabs one sub one of them out for Bridgewater. Would be hard to pass up a shot at him.

He is top three, but it really just depends on who is healthiest. McCoy, Charles, AP.

I prefer McCoy, but thats personal opinion.

Random, im amazed he doesnt fumble more often with how high he holds the ball, but hes a special back no doubt.

Also a chance to get another impact player with a top three or four pick again this year courtesy of that trade.

Clowney, Long, and Quinn on 3rd downs would honestly not be fair.

They could trade it for more picks if they choose to so as well.

An eventual Clowney/Quinn duo at DE would be straight up scary.

I think they'll trade out. That's been Fischer's strategy more or less.

So Mock has Falcons getting Barr, Richardson, and Will Sutton would love it.

Another has them going Barr, Anthony Johnson, and Zack Martin, that's not bad.

I also wouldn't mind taking De'Anthony Thomas in the 3rd roung. I wonder if it would be possible that some dumb team would trade a high 3 or low 2 for Harry Douglas and the Falcons could then get Thomas to take his place.

Should be an asterick by that.

The trade was swap 1st rounders in 2012 + 2012 2nd rounder, 2013 first, 2014 first. The Rams thin traded down to accumulate more picks, which they have done well with.

The actual trade slots are M. Claiborne, J. Jenkins, D. Trufant +2014 first rounder.

The Rams have done well to accumulate young talent by trading down. The issue they have though is QB holding them back.If they can somehow acquire a QB, they are going to be a scary dangerous team.

I think ideally for the Rams there would be a stud QB prospect and maybe they think Bridgewater is that, but I don't buy it. So they have a chance at Clowney (very high risk) or they could take the OT or maybe a stud WR like Watkins moves up the board. IF there was a stud QB prospect in the 2014 draft available to the Rams, it would have ended up being an amazing haul considering their success trading down.

That's weird that 3 of them became CBs. But having the picks to trade down with is part of the trade. If the Rams didn't trade down with the Skins they couldn't have made any subsequent trades.

I really don't see anything wrong wth Bradford. He can't stay healthy and thats a big negative but I think he is a guy that could manage a team to success.

Bradford is not good. He averages under 6.5 yards per attempt, completes less than 60% of his passes. I mean maybe he can be an Alex Smith if he's absolutely loaded around him, but he's not a guy you give the ball to and ask him to win a game. Really tough to win titles without having a guy that can win games for you.

Yeah, i dont see how trading down and getting more picks shouldnt count.

Those extra picks technically dont count but they got them from trading down from those picks.

To QB, it depends if they like Bradford longterm or not.

They certainly did well drafting after trading down. Most people harped on them not getting the elite player in 2012 once Blackmon went 5 and they traded out instead of getting Claiborne. But, Brokers has played really well.

The chart implies the Skins traded 8 draft picks for RG3. What they traded was swaping picks plus 3 other picks (2-1sts and a 2nd). Those picks then gave the Rams the opportunity to trade down (I believe using other picks as well) to accumulate several players.

They have done really well at drafting late the past couple years. Imagine if some of their 2nd rounders had worked out

I understand what you mean.

Pead doesnt look good but looks like they got a future workhorse with Stacy who seems the real deal.

I dont know about the other 2nd rounders they took.
