REAL FOOTBALL Thread

I think ideally for the Rams there would be a stud QB prospect and maybe they think Bridgewater is that, but I don't buy it. So they have a chance at Clowney (very high risk) or they could take the OT or maybe a stud WR like Watkins moves up the board. IF there was a stud QB prospect in the 2014 draft available to the Rams, it would have ended up being an amazing haul considering their success trading down.

Bridgewater I think is gonna make a lot of people look dumb. Everyone is calling him a bust before the draft. Many QBs who people didn't expect that much from became great. Bridgewater is about an inch or 2 from being the perfect physical QB at 6'2 and change almost 6'3 which is solid and a good weight. Has a strong arm, with quality accuracy, good touch, and he's pretty athletic. Obiously his success will be based on the mental side of the game which you can't gauge in college. My hunch is people assume he will suck cause he played against the Big East. But considering most great NFL QBs come out of the Big 10, which has many bad defenses, I don't buy that.

I really don't see anything wrong wth Bradford. He can't stay healthy and thats a big negative but I think he is a guy that could manage a team to success.

There's a lot wrong with him. He's not terrible he's right around average for a QB the last 2 years after being one of the worst in the NFL the 2 years prior but I'll put more weight into recent performances.

If the Texans take Clowney or Matthews or someone like that and the Rams don't get a good offer on their number 2, cutting Bradford adn bringing in Bridgewater may be smart. They'd save 10 million in cap room they could bring back to make a move of some sort.

I could be wrong on Teddy B., but I've watched several games and I'm not impressed with him. I think he's toward the top of the draft at least in part bc there really aren't a lot of good draft eligilbe QBs.

Bridgewater is easily the best QB in the class and I would take him over Mariotta as well, if he actually left. Teddy-Foster-Dre-Hopkins-Daniels-Graham. Texans will be right back in the playoff hunt next year, it's the perfect landing spot for him...even better if O'Brien ends up there.

Draft has a healthy number of quality QBs, elite may be absent. But there are lots of quality QBs. The top 6 could all be NFL starters if things break for them. With Bridgewater, Bortles, Manziel, Hundley, Carr, and Boyd. Of course odds of that happening are basically 0. But they're all strong quality guys.

What I find hysterical is just how awful Vick is. Foles is playing like the best QB in the NFL and Vick could barely do anything with the same players.

What say you Zito?

Forgot about him, I wouldn't be shocked if he reversed his decision and decided to enter the draft cause of the number of teams in the top 10 needing a QB that he'll go high.

None of those guys should be drafted in the top 10, other than Teddy. Teams are going to reach like they did in 2011 and they're going to flop.

Um, they didn't really have the same players? Ertz wasn't developed back then. He's still developing even now but he's clearly better than at the start of the season. not to mention everyone is more familiar with the Eagles O. Though I think that FOles is better ran for the Eagles O. He is happy with checking down, Vick isn't. The Eagles O runs a complex pick system. and spreads the team way out. Vick wasn't build as well for that as Foles is. We'll see what Foles does next year when teams have more of a clue on the Eagles offense.

Sure thing buddy. At some point you'll admit that Vick is an absolutely horrid QB. There is no offense for him because he just can't figure out how to run an offense.

I saw someone say Teddy may go back to school but not 100% sure.

Teddy to Houston is a great fit is they get the top pick.

Probably, I like Bortles if he comes out. He's more the type though that I think will take some time but from what I've seen the kid is smart.

He was pretty awesome a few years ago in the same basic situation as Foles is now.

If RG3 doesn't get hurt that is a great trade for the Redskins. I've criticized RG3 plenty and said that he is still raw but there is no way he goes from what he did in 2012 to 2013 for any other reason but his knee.

Really hope the Jags, Raiders, Browns are dumb enough to reach on these 2nd-3rd round QBs...then someone will fall to TB.

TB is going to be a legit playoff contender next year. I'm really hoping they find a way to beat NO next week.
