REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Thought that name sounded familiar. From watching Trent Richardson at Alabama, I can't believe how he has struggled. However, way too early to give up on him.

Yeah, I hear you. I just don't think he has the burst, and not enough strength to overcome the lack of burst. I'm not sure what his strength is.

The guy is a physical monster. He has amazing hands and never ever fumbles the ball. I expect him to thrive next season after an entire offense with the Colts.

He certainly hasn't looked like a physical monster in the NFL. Adrian Peterson is a physical monster, and Richardson will never been mildly close to that.
We'll see in the coming years, but I don't see it.

Did a five round 49ers mock draft.

Round 2: Will Sutton, DT, ASU

Round 3: Marcus Roberson, CB, Florida

Round 3: Deone Bucannon, S, Washington State

As the end of the regular season nears, it's time to hand out some awards.

Coach of the year: Bruce Arians
Honorable mentions: Chip Kelly and Andy Reid

Biggest surprise teams: Kansas City Chiefs and Arizona Cardinals

I think the 49ers will take a S/WR before CB next year. Culliver is coming back and I suspect they will keep Brown.

I think Brown is as good as gone. They offered him an extension and he declined it. Brock accepted their offer and he's playing very well too. Rogers is in a contract year and I don't expect him back either.

To be honest the only sure bets to be playing corner next season are Brock and Culliver. Wright, Rogers, and Brown could all very easily be replaced. Ideally we should keep at least one of those three though.

I think wide receiver isn't as deep as the corners coming out. Roby can be a shutdown corner and it obviously depends what receivers are available.

Ravens, Dolphins, and Steelers fans may not like it, but you're right. They are perhaps the only team in the playoffs who are locked into their place. No sense having an injury in a game that won't mean anything.

I think it's dumb to completely rest some of your guys though. Keep guys sharp with a series or two. Treat it like a pre season game.

Baltimore picks off Dalton four times today and they are more than likely going to lose. It just shows you how bad Flacco really is. A couple lucky throws in the playoffs last season got him this enormous contract and he's a very bad quarterback.
