Bye Bye Philly:

Why do Eagles fans boo on every injury. Shouldn't expect anything else out of them, however.

Remember, it was the Philly fans who booed Mike Schmidt, and Santa Claus, and they cheered when Michael Irvin got hurt and they though he might have a spinal cord injury. They really take that City of Brotherly Love stuff to heart don't they???

Worked out great that the Saints won yesterday. Now if the 49ers take care of business I can get the rematch I've wanted since week 2.

Not everyone gets to play in 70 degree weather with no wind.

Yup, got to love the excuses. Or maybe it's not everyday Foles plays an actually competent defense.

Foles played these teams in 2013

Bucs, Giants, Cowboys, Raiders, Packers, Redskins, Cardinals, Lions, Vikings, Bears, Cowboys. The First cowboys game was his injury game, so largely can throw that out, but anyway, this is where those teams ranked in passing DVOA

Bucs - 11th

Giants - 8th

Raiders - 30th

Packers - 28th

Redskins - 22nd

Cardinals 5th

Lions 20th

Vikings 29th

Bears 18th

Cowboys 27th

If he played the same schedule that Ryan, or Scam, or Kaepernick, or Wilson had to play this year, he wouldn't have put up his pretty boy numbers. He was lucky that it was Vick going against the Chiefs and Broncos or he would have been in a world of hurt. Also I expect some tips to come in from the various coaches about the sheer number of picks the Eagles run and you'll start seeing more flags next year for it.

Regardless of who he played he put up amazing numbers. Even if his numbers regress he is still a good QB.

Not if he plays a lot like he did his rookie. But then again, pretty much anyone can be a good QB when they're throwing to wide open receivers. I've watched more Foles than probably anyone here, and I'm not impressed. He makes maybe 5 tops tough throws a game. Everything else is either throw it where no one can catch it or wide open. That's why his pick numbers are low. He doesn't try to make tough throws. When the league has time to adjust to Kelly's pickin offense and figures it out, he'll have to make tougher throws which means his stats will drop and so will his Y/A.

Last year he started for the Eagles, and sure it was his rookie season, but in the games he started 6 games to a much worse effect, though you could see in his still pretty low INT% that he doesn't like making his traffic throws. And come the post season, the high traffic tough throws are the ones that win you titles. There's a reason why high risk high reward types like Flacco, Roethlisberger, and Ellie have won as many superbowls recently. As many as the elite QBs who also make the tough throws. There's a reason check down machines and the guys who throw primarily to wide open WRs (Alex Smith) ultimately fail.

Actually agree with Zito here.

Foles is good, yes, but until Lewis went down, they were doing next to nothing that game.

He also chucks it up a lot 3-4 times a game and someone comes down to it.

He's good, yes, but let's wait next year since there is tape on him before crowning him as Joe Montana.

He is due for regression, to what extent, im not sure but 27/2 isnt happening next year.

Yeah, cheering while Michael Irvin was on the turf at that trash dump Veterans Stadium is as low as it can get. I have never cheered for any Philadelphia team since then.

Irvin is ok with it. He appreciated the level of passion. I think it's low, but it happens with many fan bases. I mean you just saw recently Texas fans cheer when Schaub was hurt.

At least Philly games don't wind up with people getting killed. Like happens in LA or SF seemingly every year.

Not all teams can have a Roddy White. Oh wait, Nevermind..

Sick burn. Guess it's better to have a team where one Tightend is in jail becoming a looseend and the other caught more STDs than passes in the last year. Of any organization to try to talk **** about other players. The Pats are dead last. You can talk about rings but the Pats are most classless organization in the NFL. Pull up your hoodie and get ready for a skulking next weak when Brady yet again fails to win a ring.
