REAL FOOTBALL Thread

There's only a few douchey players and you pretty much just named all of them other than Whitner. Frank Gore, Justin Smith and Patrick Willis are as classy as it gets.

If Kap, Crabs and Boldin were on the Falcons you'd be rooting for them because you'd be in the Championship game right now.

Of course I would root for them if they were on my team, because it's my team, but I'm glad the Falcons generally have quality players. Some exceptions of course, but other guys can leave, the key guys Ryan, Julio, and Smith are about as classy as they come.

I think every team is filled with alpha male D-bags but since the 49ers have consistently played into late January the last few years you notice it more.

I dont really hate the Niners.

Kap can be a bit of a douche.

I have always liked Boldin but he's always talking smack.

Dont have an opinion on Crabtree but he always whines for flags.

As a lifelong Falcons fan, I appreciate the 49rs ending Steve Smith's season. That guy gets on my last nerve...and he deserves all the scrutiny that gets sent his way.

Whisenhunt taking over the Titans head coach spot. Apparently he had his pick of Detroit and Tennessee and opted for the Titans.

wow, don't get that. Lions are ready made with a decent head coach.

THere's more to a coach's decision. Maybe he doesn't like Detroit's FO, or their long term plans. Maybe he doesn't trust Stafford? Who knows, if he made the choice he made the choice he felt was right, not the choice that message board users would.

Money could have played a role. I haven't heard anything as far as contract numbers go, but looking at this with a blind eye I would have thought a coach heads for Detroit. Maybe Whisenhunt will have more of a say in personnel and such in Tennessee than he would have in Detroit.

Looks like one of the preschoolers in my class when I tell them they have to put their jacket on before they go outside. I want it NOW! I want cake NOW!

So now you release the information that you're a teacher, I could have had a whole slew of jokes to have used during the season.

Thats a good hire but Detroit has a lot in place on offense.

Pretty good OL, good 1-2 with Bush/Bell, Megatron and other players, decent players at TE.

And a young, franchise QB.

Money and maybe control over personnel could have been what sent Whisenhunt to Tennessee.

I'm sure he weighed all of those things, and still made the choice he made. Should let you know there are other issues.

Locker is a fine QB, Chris Johnson is as good as Bush, I'd put him slightly better. Washington and Wright is a good tandem, and they have a solid OL.

They're both teams with talent and some issues. For a reason only he knows, he picked Tennessee.

I agree Tenn has good players in place too but Megatron/Stafford is a great start for a new HC.

Guess we'll never know why except for him.
