REAL FOOTBALL Thread

I'm sure he weighed all of those things, and still made the choice he made. Should let you know there are other issues.

Locker is a fine QB, Chris Johnson is as good as Bush, I'd put him slightly better. Washington and Wright is a good tandem, and they have a solid OL.

They're both teams with talent and some issues. For a reason only he knows, he picked Tennessee.

Well Nashville can be a tough/dangerous place but pretty much any place is safer than Detroit isn't it??? I heard even Chuck Norris won't go there. :icon_biggrin:

He made a mistake. Lions are one of the most talented teams in football.

Teams I'd take over the Lions

Pats
Broncos
Bengals (all they need a QB)
Colts
Packers
Falcons
Saints
Panthers
49ers
Seahawks
Rams (same as Bengals, just need a QB)

Teams I consider about on par

Eagles
Bears
Bucs
Cardinals
Chiefs
Chargers

Lions are a very good team with talent but they could also implode on you.

Thy have an elite WR and an elite DT. They have an abover average QB.

They missed out on probably the best head coach candidate this year.

They gonna hire Caldwell?

A lot of people are mentioning the fact that the AFC South is much weaker at the moment than the NFC North. So there's that. Plus the Titans are younger with a better defense. And while Locker may never break out/stay healthy, he basically only has 1 more yr left to prove something and then Wisenhunt can choose who he wants in the draft.

Hearing the Lions wouldn't budge on changing from a 4x3 to 3x4, Whiz will play a 3x4 with the Titans, location was another. @foxsports910

That sucks. I don't like the 3-4, tbh, and I really don't think we have the personnel for it.

They have a good young OL.

A good RB combo

An elite WR

A talented QB who needs to be fixed

A dominant DL

Really is a talented team but there will be a lot of pressure on the next HC to win immediately. I certainly hope we don't hire Caldwell... I don't know much about him though, to be honest

Every team except the Jags can say the same.

Every team has sick talent. It's the NFL. Talent only gets you so far. Detroit has 2 freak talents, Suh and Megatron. Suh has big time on field issues. Every team has top talent, it's the nature of the game, it's the coaches who get the most out of that talent that seperates say the Cowboys from the Saints. Only thing having sick talent at really matters is QB. And neither the Titans or Lions have a lock top 5 QB. Sure Stafford could potentially be that. But potential doesn't mean that he will. Not to mention, any coach of the Lions has to deal with the Schwartz fallout. The lax play, etc.

I mean I get what he's saying, but he stooped down to troll levels, you're not supposed to do that.

All athletes "get it" but that's not how you respond...seems like the criticism might be getting to him. Plus the question he was asked was innocent and he just snapped lol.
