REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Both Kaep/RG3 are raw because of the college offenses they played in. Kaep is further along IMO. You can just keep on talking and Kaep will keep on winning playoff games (mostly on the road).

Kaep is not further along. Go thru the Niners playbook, they run simple seam/curl routes as their main passing plays. This is bc Kaep cannot attack the area between the LBs and safeties at this point (lack of touch). He has some of the best weapons in the NFL and still struggles (BOldin, Crabtree, Davis, Gore). Has a monster OL and a good running game.

RG3 still needs to get better in manuevering within the pocket. The Skins put too much on him last year when he shoudlnt' have even started the year.

Hes gonna make Kaep look silly next year.

D-Hall is a FA like he was last year. WHo is going to sign him to a big deaL? Unfortunately he will probably be back on a short term performance based deal.

Kaep struggled when Crab came back?

He hasn't struggled in a long time. He isn't perfect of course but he makes dynamic plays both with his arms/legs and wins games.

I'm a fan of RG3. I have said numerous times it was wrong to play him this year. RG3 will be awesome again assuming he can run like he did before. But that is not a sure thing. Kaep has played like a top 10 QB since he became a starting QB. There is no shame in that for sure.

Also GF, you do not have access to game film. YOu do not know what the 49ers run and for most of the season their playbook was limited because the run game wasn't working and they had 1 1/2 receivers.

He was bad vs. Carolina. They had so many more shots to score/move the ball that Kaep missed.

You haven't heard of all-22 (NFL Rewiind)? I can watch coaches film on every single game. (I've watched the last 4 Niners games, every skins and Bengals game)

He was absolutely bad early on. What a terrible QB. Struggling on the road in the playoffs early on against one of the top defenses in the NFL.

49ers should just bench him now and save themselves the heartache.

Why Bengals?

Either way, I've never said that Kaep is a finished product. His ceiling is high because of his athletic ability, work ethic and overall intelligence. The NFL better hope he doesn't get better.

BC the Skins hired their offensive coordinator.

I'm not saying Kaep is terrible. He's just very raw and the team is able to succeed bc it has a good defense, good running game, good OL, great trio of WRs. And Kaep's threat to run certainly helps. There is a reason they are so conservative with him.

Once he got that trio of receivers back and healthy he has been really good. The 49ers get lots of chunk plays. Kaeps every down efficiency won't rank with the short ball extradinaire Matt Ryan but he doesn't turn the ball over and can make every throw. He continues to get better each week. This week will be a great test for him. I can't wait.

I wouldn't say he can make every throw. He can make every throw that requires a fastball. What he hasn't proven is that he can make the throws that require finesse.

Thats just not fair. He has made plenty of touch throws down the field. Not saying he can't improve on that but he has grown leaps and bounds. Again, if Kaep could do all these things he would be the best QB in the NFL. He just isn't close to that yet.

Whats not fair? You claimed he could make every throw, which he cannot yet. Then when I bring up he cant, you say its not fair.

You're saying all he can do is throw a fastbasll and I said that isn't fair. He has made plenty of touch passes. That is the part that isn't fair. He can make those throws he just doesn't make them as consistent as a great QB makes them.

Bet you won't be saying that with Roddy and Julio back....

It's very lazy to say that in a year with no OL and no one but HD healthy. Gonzo didn't help that either....

Ryan is much more polished than Kaep. He shouldn't need the weapons as much as Kaep does. I will criticize Kaep in time if he doesn't perform without a large assortment of weapons which is what his reality is going to be once he signs his next contract.

Today I learned the 49ers would win the Super Bowl three straight years if they had the great Matt Ryan, who has never come relatively close to winning a Super Bowl. Jesus.

And if we had Griffin we would have won five straight as well. Three while he was in college mind you.

Ryan has never come close to playing on a team as talented as the niners. He never had a back like gore. Davis is better than old tony. Only advantage he has offensively is wr. Defensively it doesn't even come close. Same with special teams.
