Weird, because Foles is the only other QB with a top 5 running team in the top 5 for Y/A.

Chargers were a really good running team this year and it picked up considerably towards the middle of the season. The other guys are Manning/Brees. Those guys are just HOF QB's. Nothing special there.

Slippery slope comparing WIlson to Foles (well Foles last year, we'll see what happens this offseason and next season) Peyton, Rivers and Rodgers. 3 of those things are not like the others.

That said people do massively underrate Wilson. I don't like him long term as I don't like RGMe or Kaepernick because QBs that take a lot of hits don't age well. But that said right now he's one of the 10 best QBs in the NFL. Only guys I'd take for sure over him for a season are Peyton, Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Ryan, and Rivers. With another season maybe Foles, but I have a hunch that with all the attention that was brought to picks there will be more enforcement next year and that will hurt the Eagles. Though honestly I do hope Kelly succeeds and Foles succeeds because the uptempo game the Eagles play is fun to watch.

Wilson doesn't seem to take that many hits and Kaep certainly doesn't take hits.

Where is this evidence that they are getting hit a lot or even more than the average QB?

He won a SB and his BEST WR was Golden Tate.................

How about you put on a team with actual NFL WRs and he'd put up better numbers?

He won a super bowl without having to actually do anything, but let the defense take over.

So it's his fault Peyton choked? It's his fault they scored on D? It's his fault they returned a kick for a TD? Russell looked pretty damn good in the 2nd half when he actually had the ball

Broncos defense was easily one of the worst all year and its easy to play when you know your defense isn't going to give up anything.

I havent assigned any fault to Wilson. Just that he wasn't required to actually do anything.

So you're saying any backup QB in the NFL would've won a SB with Seattle this year?

With that defense, any top 10-15 QB would, yes.

And please, they have underrated playmakers, not going over this again.

I also think Wilson is definitely a good QB, but getting a bit overrated. There is a lot to be said for not having a ton of pressure to perform. The team NEVER lived and died by him, and that is HUGE for a QB. He would have poor games, they'd still win, and so he wouldn't get heat for it or feel it. You cannot underestimate the impact that has.

He didnt have to do much, you could put a scrub back there and they win the SB.

He played well, but this was a Dilfer/Brad Johnson type of run he had, nothing special.

Defense carried him, he hopped on.

Doesnt have to do now because he's on his rookie deal, once he's off that, and others get paid, his team gets worse, his defense wont be quite as good, Lynch eventually tails off.

We'll see what happens when he has to carry a more of a load of the team.

That's what I mean. He's far from a top QB, because top QBs are relied on every week. He was hardly ever relied on, if really at all. Put him in a situation where he has to do a whole lot more, and he isn't praised nearly this much.
