REAL FOOTBALL Thread

He is ruining the NFL. Nothing will change because the league is ABM. It's watered down and hitting hard is frowned upon now. May as well just put flags on the players now.

Goodell is also going to cause a strike/lock out. He proved that he can and will abuse his power with bountygate and the players won't sign a new CBA unless the commish agrees to a neutral arbiter. His ego won't give up that power easily. Only commish to suspend a player a full season and have it over turned.... twice. I still don't understand how that doesn't get him fired.

Well the Mara family undoubtedly love him and he makes sure to keep the spotlight on the most popular teams as far as the media goes (ala ESPN the magazine) I can just imagine how much he'd suck if either NY team was any good this year. He enforces penalties on teams that broke no written rule (Dallas and Washington) he penalizes another team for doing (even though I agree it was wrong) what most teams probably do, but won't admit it. Goddell is slime IMO and I probably just made real slime mad at me for linking the two.

Peanut Tillman coming back to the Bears. I like what they've done so far this off-season. Still need another pass rusher and I think Jared Allen would be a great fit

Also did anyone see maybe the best signing of the offseason with the Colts getting Nicks for 1/3.5. Can't get much better talent for much cheaper.

who will Cam throw to?

Best signing????

He's constantly injured and has been very underwhelming the last 2 yrs.

I said maybe. Positive one it assumes pretty much 0 risk. 3.5M or whatever is nothing in reality. And Nicks has been a 50 yard a game receiver as a number 2. If he does that in Indy, that's a big boost for them. Having 3 deep at WR is a huge improvement over 2 deep. If he sucks they're out basically nothing, if he rocks they have one of the better WR corps in the NFL. If he's in between he's still worth way more than what he signed for.
