I
Alright folks - I've often been mocked or ridiculed for my suggestion that the 19th amendment was a mistake. I'm going to make 3 posts covering 3 different points explaining my rational. I'd welcome the arguments back, beyond "it's an adult American and that is it." Let's debate the merit of my argument and go from there. That's what these boards are for, no?
Post #1 - Societal Skin in the Game
Let's start with society itself and why men deserve a larger voice in the political policies we live by.
For starters, there is no functioning, peaceful, prosperous society without men.
A woman named Allison sits in the comfort of her own home that was built by men. The heating and air conditioning functions because of men. The electricity giving light and power is produced by men. The hot shower pumping clean water she enjoys is produced by men. The sewers transporting her shit are manned by men. Her garbage is collected, hauled away, and disposed of by men.
She decides to go shopping. She hops in her car that was manufactured and designed by men, driving on a road built by men. The gas needed to run it is drilled and refined by men.
She gets to the mall - a building that was built by men. She decides she wants a new cute autumn sweater, which was loaded on a ship in China by men. The ship, of course, designed, manufactured, and built by men. The energy required to send it across the pacific was drilled and refined by men. When it arrives State side, men unload the ship, men load up the trucks (built by men), men drive the trucks across the country on the interstates buildt by men. The trucks get unloaded by men, and stocked on the shelves at the mall by men.
She buys the new autumn sweater. It looks great. And just for shits and giggles, she powers up her iPhone - built by men of course - and posts to Instagram - also built by men.
Now she's hungry. Time for dinner. She orders a chicken salad. You guessed it... all the food on that plate produced by men. The chicken was raised, slaughtered, cleaned, and prepared by men. The vegetables in her salad were planted, grown, harvested, and transported by men.
She decides to take a nice stroll in the evening through the city. She can do so peacefully and without fear, because she knows that there are men with guns to protect her. Society hired men to enforce our laws, and they do a pretty good job of doing so. Allison can enjoy her freedom.

All this is to say. There is no blaming of Allison for any of the above. She is an important member of our society for many reasons. But the essentials of her everyday life - literally all of them - happened because men made them happen. But if tomorrow, men decided to collectively skip work, society would collapse almost instantly. There would be rampant crime, food shortages, and fuel shortages. Water would stop flowing, sewage would stop working, and it would get worse and worse with each passing day.
If tomorrow, women decided to collectively skip work, it would be very disruptive. But the gas pumps would have gas. The grocery stores would have food. There would be power. The things we rely on every day would still be functioning.
Conclusion - a demographic that cannot keep society functioning should not hold as much political power as a demographic who completely keeps it functioning.
