I just come from a school of never laying a hand on a woman. If **** was bad at home divorce her and leave. Nothing good comes from a man getting physically aggressive with a woman.
 
Three things to consider: Sam Dyson got the last significant suspension for domestic violence, a non-contested/non-appealed 1 year. Expect Ozuna to get a longer one.
Manfred owes Atlanta and the Braves and even Liberty Media IMO.
Liberty Media being a corporate entity should have a huge, huge legal staff on hand. Would they be interested in using them to cancel the contract? Food for thought.
 
It isn’t about lawyers and trying to void the contract. MLB is not going to want to rock the boat against the players union before the new CBA negotiation.

If he gets suspended we get to keep that money durning the suspension, right?

MLBPA isn't going to want to be seen as defenders of domestic violence before the CBA negotiation either.

They won't invest a lot of time and effort in something that will result in a PR shïtstorm.

Negotiations will be over months before the pending suspension is over. Then the legal issues can begin. It is my opinion that the contract will be terminated at some point and Braves liability will be many millions less than the $60M or so owed today.

Even if she was 'trying to fillet him with a knife,' clearly he didn't have any problem overpowering her. If the story was 'Marcell Ozuna physically restrains wife after she attacks him with a knife' then obviously it would be different. But as it is, I can't imagine how you read that police report and feel like he shouldn't be in prison.
