Man, that's sad. I loved his daily minor league posts. Even when the Braves sucked and I didn't want to read or talk about them, I would still come here to see what was up in the minors. He will be sorely missed in these parts.
 
This just sucks. His work can’t be duplicated. He made it so easy to come here and find every minor league detail and he enjoyed doing it for us. He’ll be missed a lot. Prayers up for his family.
 
Didn’t know him at all and don’t recall many interactions with him. Seemed like a good guy and I liked his updates.
Rest his soul and hope his family is doing as well as can be.
 
I believe this info is correct (taken from a website of a funeral home in the Chattanooga area):

David Jenkins, 64, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. Born in Atlanta, but moved to Chattanooga early in his life, he graduated from UTC with a degree in journalism and worked for the Chattanooga Free Press for over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Saye Jenkins.

David is survived by his father, Ray Jenkins, of Chattanooga; brother, Jay Jenkins, of Dublin, Ga.; sister, Amy Jennings, of Chattanooga; and nephews, Justin Jennings, of Florida, Jon Jennings and Ethan Jennings, both of Chattanooga.

Private family services will be held.
 
Damn, just saw this. RIP Rico and thank you for everything you did for this board. You will be missed. My sympathies to his family.
 
Tragic news indeed. And right as his beloved Braves and on the cusp. RIP Rico. Hopefully we can carry on your traditions.
