Expects Yuge Games
I feel like Peterson has been much more impressive, but haven't seen his stats lately. But leading your league in doubles at a young age is maybe a little more than fringy.
Peterson's hitting performance has been more impressive to me as well. But that is balanced by Ruiz playing a more challenging position. My guess is Peterson will put up hitting numbers in AAA next year slightly better than Ruiz this year.
The other thing to consider is if they both top out as platoon players, Ruiz by virtue of being a lefty hitter will have more value in that kind of role.
Their hitting numbers this year:
Peterson .287/.346/.436
Ruiz .273/.357/.406
Also need to account for that fact that Mississippi is a significantly tougher hitting environment than Gwinnett.
