Rob Whalen Has Surgery

Best I can tell this is probably related to the hand infection he battled last year. Apparently he had to have surgery last year to clean the infection out. That would fit his "2 long seasons" statement.

Got to wonder if the Braves were aware of the condition's current state at the time of the deal. Might the Mets owe them something?
