Roku And The Braves

I've had DirecTV for years and am considering making the jump to basic cable and Roku. Anybody here a Roku user that can offer advice and details? I might even just go straight Roku if it's feasible.

I don't have Roku, but I think it's pretty much like a Smart TV. There are basic channels and then you subscribe on top of the basic channels.

Roku works great with MLB TV. You do have to have some way to get the game, but Roku works great as a connection to the Internet.

Ran across a FanGraphs' article earlier that said you can now get both Fox channels that carry our games as part of a $20 package when I was at the office, but didn't see it when I checked from here. My local digital basic carries both as well, but I'd just as soon eliminate paying for that as well if possible - local channels aren't that big a concern, and I could see going as far as going with an old-timey "aerial" to get them if I missed them - have a friend who just got a new one, and he can't stop talking about how clear it is these days/etc..

The politically correct statement on Roku's website says that it's intended to "enhance" your current cable/satellite plan rather than "replace it", but it's pretty obvious that it can if I'm reading those things right.
