Rollins on the block?

He and Sandberg have uhhh... not seen eye to eye apparently. I keep reading that Sandberg benched him for 3 or 4 ST games and they are at odds. That coupled with some rotation question marks make it look like the Phils could be off to a rough start on the Sandberg era.

He has a full NTC and has stated in the past he does not intend to waive it (he has some Phillies' records in sights that he wants to reach, like career hits, etc).
He may be willing to waive now, or when the Phils start to struggle.
Most of the fans love Rollins, despite the fact he's not that good and doesn't always hustle. From what I hear he works hard, just doesn't run out ground outs as hard as Sandberg would like.
Sandberg doesn't know whether to let it go, or stick to his guns and manage the way he sees fit. Rollins is meh, but Freddy Galvis couldn't hit his way out of a wet paper bag.

Phillies look like they're gonna battle the Marlins for last in the NL East. And if Hamels is really hurt they're won't even be a battle.

I thought Sandburg an odd hire - Cubs didnt want him after watching him at AAA and on ML coaching staff - then there is the Mark Grace thing too

Agreed. Great players often make lousy managers because they can't understand the nature of talent deficiency. "I could do it. Why can't you?"
