Ronald Acuna is now a better hitter than prime Mike Trout.

The rest of the season he hit 229/283/404 - 687

Sad that Francoeur in his slump the rest of the way, put up better stats than he did in full seasons.

His biggest mistake I still contest was becoming a punch and Judy hitter losing his power. Not that he would have been a good hitter, but he would have at least been close to average

Kind of like what's happening to Riley now

Yeah, the counter to that is Joey Gallo who's carved out a decent career despite the fact that he strikes out every third plate appearance because he makes hard contact he's feared enough to have a good walk rate.

Sad that Mike Trout spent his whole career playing on mediocre Angels teams. Though age 30, hes one of the 10 best offensive players of all time. His offensive stats are comparable to guys like Pujols, Hornsby, Musial, and Gehrig, but he plays CF. And the only reason he isn't even higher is because he's still playing. Technically by baseball standars next season is his age 30 season. If he adds another 100 offensive runs above replacement (he gets 60 a season when healthy, by has completion of his age 30 season he may be the best offensive player through age 30

This guy hits like Pujols, but is athletic enough to be a good centerfielder. He is what Griffey promised to be.

How bad of a GM do you have to be to have a guy that may be an inner circle HOFer and you can't even manage to get your team to .500?

Maybe when Freeman joins them and they have 4 top 15 players in baseball they can get to a WC game?

Where did SJ24 go?

Kid is the most fair weather fan I've ever seen.

He's in the phase of his life where he finally got to leave the confines of the ignorance he grew up surrounded by, so now every new thing is very exciting. It's evident by his rapidly shifting political views that hinge on whatever class he recently took, or what people he's recently just met. His world view is expanding beyond the 200 square miles everyone else he knows has experienced.

Same thing with finally starting to be able to comprehend some advanced stats after taking some basic college math courses...suddenly understanding why rate stats matter is exciting, even though he lacks understanding about sample size because he hasn't taken a statistics course yet. If that happens he will come back here with his latest epiphany about...something we've been discussing here for 5 years already.

So it's nice that he gets to leave the ignorant wastes he grew up in, he just lacks the life experience to put new things he learns into perspective.

I am not fair weather at all.

Two things.

1. I have a ton of interests and am a very busy person.

2. I might not be a great fit for this board. I like to exaggerate and have fun and just shoot the ****. This board is more serious and high-brow.

Nothing wrong with number 2, to be clear. I enjoy posting occasionally and definitely enjoy reading the posts (yours especially)

But I don't think you guys would really appreciate my style of posting entertainment.

Ha. I love Enscheff. He's the best baseball poster I've ever seen.

If we met in person I'm sure he's a great guy and we'd get along well.

Just different online personalities, that's all.

Yet, when you get called out for your "exaggerations" you act like a twit. But sure, everyone else has the issue.....
