Rosenthal fired from MLB network over criticism of Manfred

Apparently he criticized Rob Manfred in the summer/end of 2020 and Manfred got his pound of flesh.

Kens pretty good and seemed to be well liked. This took some balls.

For the record- Manfreds the worst commish in sports.

Now that he's crossed the line from incompetent to pernicious, Manfred deserves whatever he has coming to him. Rosenthal has been the best reporter in baseball for 20 years. If Manfred is taking criticism from Rosenthal, maybe he needs to look within.

Among many other issues here, Rosenthal has never even been all that critical. In fact, he's a pretty reliable purveyor of ownership talking points. If this guy is too critical for you, you have some mighty thin skin.

In the hopes that Manfred's ego is so fragile he goes on message boards like this to read what people say about him...you suck, Rob. Something that all baseball fans can agree on.

I suppose the difference is that MLB Network is owned by MLB. It (and any other 'league network') are great for coverage and information, but are not going to be critical of themselves if there are obvious problems within the league.

Rosenthal and Brian Kinney have had some pretty testy arguments on MLB. Kinney doesnt seem to agree with KR on any topic.

Just to be clear. Rosenthal wasn't even fired. His contract expired and wasn't renewed by MLB Network. He is still employed by Fox and The Athletic, which is the majority of his work.

Well now that Manfred has nothing over him I would love to see him troll the Commish in his other jobs. Kens probable way to professional to do that though.
