Its not an investigation of a crime then. Its an investigation to find a crime. Thats not the way it should be done. That is why this is appropriately characterized as a 'witch hunt'.

If truly related to the Access Hollywood tape, my guess is that menacing is involved some fashion.

If I had to guess, I'd say it was leveraging a probable crook to further the investigation into potential criminal conspiracies involving the 2016 campaign. Just like with brother Pavel. If there's nothing there, there's nothing there. If there's criminal behavior unrelated to Russia, that's a thing, too...or is it? I suspect it would be if the shoe were on the other foot.

So what this is basically admitting is that after 1.5 years (including the FBI doing their shady dealings) there is no evidence of collusion.
