The fact that the investigation and now these questions lead so far away from what the real investigation was supposed to be about....collusion.

The American people are tired of this. Either put up or shut up and there are no signs that anything of substance has been found.
 
The prosecutors have to establish motive.
Under what circumstances would the Trump campaign conspire ( collude) with the Russians ?

This goes back to the tax returns.
Did Trump owe them money
Did the Russians have blackmail material (dossier)
Did the campaign contact Russians for profit ( Wikileaks )

In no court of law is it possible a prosecutor walks in with just one piece of evidence that establishes a crime has been committed
 
my question since day one has been --- why do they keep lying about Russia ?

That's what I thought you'd say.

The investigator's job is to go where the evidence leads. Obstruction of the original investigation is not "so far away". It's right there in the room.

Obstruction of a made up crime! Thats going to go real well with the Independents of this country. Doesn't matter what the Trumpies or the Lefties think. The minds were made up years ago.

It would be funny if in the end we find out Trump obstructed justice over a crime he didn't commit. Another unforced error.

Aside from collusion/collaboration there are other potential criminal activities that Mueller's team has come across in the course of their investigation. It is their professional responsibility to investigate these as well.

It is clearly the kind of complex situation that takes time to investigate thoroughly.

When was the last tmr people even spoke about collusion? The smoking gun now is a meeting to set up communication channels after the election.
